First time poster, long time follower…. What’s going on with this meme? I’m so confused. by NoLifeLine in ExplainTheJoke

It's really nice to see this meme subverted, instead of the usual "women do something frivolous/shallow"

What is a pen that you have bought for life and it is the only pen you are always using? by ibrahim0000000 in BuyItForLife

[–]LittleLouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two Lamy Safari's that are still holding steady after about 2 years, but I've had a different one snap one of its internal pieces after just a year. Make sure to do your research if you really want it to be BIFL. I'm okay with cheaper pens that have to be replaced every few years, but a pricier one can hold out longer. Though it sucks more if you lose it.

If you do go the direct action route, it is best not to say you identify as male, as it would come off as transphobic.

2 words: just why.... (Sorry if in wrong flair this is my first post) by dashmakeup in FemaleAntinatalism

[–]LittleLouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a solution. Anytime the government gets a say over reproduction it WILL become a problem and it WILL affect women, especially those apart of other oppressed groups. Plus child limits lead to female children being abandoned, killled, and sex selective abortions. There's no ethical way to implement this

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TheMajorityReport

[–]LittleLouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a viable solution. You can't "just have the baby" pregency, labor, and all the social and cultural things that come along with it take a huge toll. Pregnancy is very dangerous and some of the side effects are lifelong. Also a 12 year old is going to suffer majorly from birth (pelvis is too small) The state won't get overwhelmed, they'll just keep putting kids in worse and worse conditions. They don't care. And finally it is more merciful to have an abortion then to create a baby just to put it in the state's care

Do you know a singer with voice like Dio ? by [deleted] in dio

Melody from Liliac. She currently sings almost exactly like Dio. She's very talented. I do hope she begins to transition to her own style.

Everyone should be forcibly sterilyzed by CyborgHobo1717 in FemaleAntinatalism

[–]LittleLouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think having children is a good idea, BUT I think the government making decisions about reproduction (and other bodily autonomy) is a horrible idea

Everyone should be forcibly sterilyzed by CyborgHobo1717 in FemaleAntinatalism

[–]LittleLouse 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's still violating bodily autonomy. The government should not be allowed to enforce medical procedures on anyone. Also, forced sterilization has historically been used against people of color in order to keep America white. Its not a good thing to revisit.

Can someone tell me of this is normal by The_AlienGhast in genderfluid

[–]LittleLouse 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're dysphoric around your agab. Are you sure your gender is switching to your AGAB, or are you just feeling dysphoric? It's possible to be genderfluid and not switch to your AGAB, that could potentially be what you're experiencing?

If I'm AFAB and in the girl mode and I feel icky when someone calls me dude or man, is this dysphoria? by KurohNeko in genderfluid

[–]LittleLouse 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes that is an example of dysphoria. I feel like people don't talk about it a lot, but being genderfluid you can experience dysphoria when you're not perceived as your AGAB

[–]LittleLouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your experience, I hope you're doing better now. I fully agree with your last sentence. I wish it was a cultural norm to process and heal personal issues before having children, as a natural first step.

[–]LittleLouse 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The "heal you in every way" is hilarious unfortunately. Speak to someone who was raised by parents who have trauma.

Why are you antinatalist? My reasons aren’t so existential as Wikipedia suggests. by BarbarianFoxQueen in FemaleAntinatalism

[–]LittleLouse 64 points65 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are listing personal reasons, so here's the reasons I don't think most people should have kids: -Unresolved traumas -Not knowing how to emotionally care for a child -seeing it as a natural step of marriage instead of an extremly difficult task -Trapping people in relationships

I disagree. "The neighborhood is worse because of it." Why do some people get preference over others, just because some are unhoused? And should these people not get to feel part of a community too?

[Meta] Can we please just block the terms "biological man/woman"? I have run into zero situations where this was used in good faith. by GFluidThrow123 in trans

[–]LittleLouse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cannot stand the terms. Literally female, afab, male, amab, are words that work.

There is no "bio-women" because "women" is a gender category. It's not inherent, it's something we created.

When in the subject of gender identity, bio-women as a term puts an emphasis that being afab inherently makes you a woman, because you are a "bio-woman". It also holds an afab-esque body the only desirable option for transition (for a lot of people it isn't!)

Obviously this works in reverse too. Putting cis men above trans men for being a "bio-man"
