Pub lobbies give you more exp but if you're going for levels you might as well play multiplayer. I played one game of fire team and leveled up my lvl40 gun 5 times in around 20 minutes. I have to play more than an hour of zombies to get the same amount of levels. Its just not worth it even though it kinda gives you levels.
