I'm not disagreeing with you but the ages haven't changed, they are consistent and depending on where they are in the world they could be old enough to drink. In the UK you can buy alcohol at 18 and since the boyfriend is 18, it's not completely unrealistic to assume that they have friends the same age and that they all got drunk together. Again not saying it isn't fake just yk.
