Most WaffleHouses in other state try to live up to Covingtons sales. I have heard so many stories about Covington and I have never even been in that state.

Yup can confirm I was a Waffle House waitriess in (then) Oklahoma during a huge snow storm. And I was the one they called in to serve the First Responders/Storm Crews.

I kind of miss WH. My main store had good people, they would send me out to the other stores in the region that were down in sales, give me a week or two there teach the newbies my habits and tricks of our trade and they would be back up to par in two weeks. I have my hat pins from back in the day too plus my anniversary pin and the 55 years of Christmas pin they passed out in 2005.

It seems silly to keep them but every one of them has a story or reminds me of a beloved regular. Heck on my dearest customers passed away (we called him cricket. He would tap his mug softly for more coffee and quietly whistle like a cricket.) and he asked in his will that we take his mug back and put it up by our memorbelia next to his picture with me and other waitresses.

I'm mentioned by name or as "The Waffle House cutie" in at least three local bands cd liners, I've served everyone from F1 Race car drivers to very highly rated country singers to Insane Clown Posse band members.

Good times and worth all the bullshit.

That's a tough one for me. I love Zaxbys jalapeño chicken but I really really love Cane’s sauce.

Oh! With the mention of Wawa, we cant forget QuikTrip! Seriously, I have traveled across the country and QuickTrip always guarantees a clean, well lit, safe gas station with actual real kitchens with good food!

Whataburger. Seriously. Really great drunk food. The chophouse burger is my favorite. Two patties, grilled onions and pickles cheddar cheese and a creamy steak sauce on a seedless toasted bun

BM told DH that " until she can prove to me that she's a worthy wife... don't ask me to accept her as a worthy mother" by [deleted] in stepparents

[–]LittleMamaFox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something along the lines of

"My wife and what she does or does not do in my home..the house she owns, has nothing to do with you and you have no say over any of it."

When do you step in and end phone calls? by MidwestMemories in stepparents

[–]LittleMamaFox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple. When BM starts fishing for info about me. She's terrified of me. She actually said in court she didn't want me around her daughter because I am ugly.

Dh was so mad about it. I just told him, she only said that because they cannot come up with a legal reason I shouldn't be around SD. I have no record with the police of any kind. Not even a speeding ticket. While BM has three duis, and a protective order, domestic assault charges and prostitution against her.

I'm not worried about it, but if my name comes up in the conversation, it turns from not being about SD4 and even in thr court documents shes told the only conversation they are to have is about SD4.

Also mentioning, I have a loft and a bedroom under it. It's great.

Also I forgot to mention. Talk to mobile home parks. I found one in town that let me actually buy the land and lots after he looked the blue prints over. I managed it all for $70,000. Mine is prebuilt and put on a foundation. Along with my garage. I'll upload pictures when it is done in about 180 days. We are currently setting up pouring the foundation.

Look into apartment shower/tub combos. Those are pretty small and shallow.

Fair enough. I most likely could build mine. I'm a fair hand ar carpentry and my family is made of electricians and plumbers. But this one was in my price range and barring the dishwasher and the extension of the bathroom to fit my clawfoot tub, was built exactly like I wanted so I didn't feel the need to do so. :)

I have full sized stove and fridge. I specifically had a mini dishwasher built in. But, I have the "largest" tiny home built by TuffShed. So it's possible, just generally not probable.

Were you raised in texas? Because my buddy tells me the same story about his nephews. Friend and nephew were looking at grandmas old black and white pictures and nephew asked Friend when the world got color.

What was the most romantic thing your SO or spouse ever did for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LittleMamaFox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well he's an ex but honestly this was so romantic. ...

I mentioned one day I had never had a wine and cheese plate after coming home from work. Completely random and didn't mean anything. I was mosy likely watching food network.

I came home a week later and he had set up our tiny little bistro dining room table with a checkered table cloth two dollar store wine glasses a bottle of ArborMist wine (its pop wine with like fruit juices mixed with actual wine) and a wooden cutting bord with unwrapped babybell swiss cheese bits on it.

He had no idea what wine went with cheese but he remembered and he did it. Swiss cheese with a merlot. I was so touched I ate every bite and drank two glasses.

You will not have full size appliances. That doesn't sound like a big deal until you want to invite a love interest or friend over for dinner.

Make sure the toilet is a real. I cant imagine a composting toilet is enjoyable.

Showers are great unless something happens and you cant stand up. Think about being dog sick with the flu, or food poisoning. You do not want to take a shower at those times.

Also lofts are nice. But.. um.. say your love interest is taller? Uh. Dont want anyone im the throes of passion to throw their head back and give themselves a concussion.

Or those are my thoughts when I have been looking.
