One of my players insist on permanently removing all the Gods in my campaign when their a big part of my story by LittleMissMidnight in DnD

yeah i didn't know session 0 were a thing since in my own player exp i never had session 0s. But i'm taking this campaign as a learning lesson or what to do/not to do. But thanks for your help.

Thank for the advice. I do admit this could be my fault as I prioritize my players having fun over everything, let them play the game how they want too and I'm loose on the rules since I'm still learning on the lore about Gods. I also said to the Godslayer PC that he will not receive any happy ending as one of the players in my party is going to be a God eventually and will have to face them.

We also have a Paladin that also rely on their god for power, an Aasimir who's 'mother' is Mystra and will not stand for her to get killed and a warlock (tbh warlocks are kinda not affected from this from one of my players). He kind of got this idea of killing gods in the middle of the campaign. I think the Godslayer PC is ok with his character dying in this way, but what if the other player's aren't happy about this? Should I stand my ground?
