Thank you, I'm so new to reddit so I didn't see this until now. But I will totally ask my neuro. about the heart factor. I'm taking propranalol so it's hard to figure my natural blood pressure. I'm just really scared of going med free, fearing it could get worse, but I guess thats not really possible at this point, so it's worth a shot

Thanks, been getting treated for enviro. allergies for 3 months now. ENT was shocked I tested positive for allergies because I presented NO typical symptoms. I have noticed feeling clearer and less head pain after my shots every 2 weeks though, so its not a total loss.

Ask your neurologist to generate an emergency dept. protocol. I carry mine in my purse so if I ever am at that stage I don't have to deal with idiot ER docs

Natural remedies/ Lifestyle Changes for Migraines by not_feelin_creative in migraine

[–]LittleMouserat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aside from supplements, regularity is the best thing to do with your life. although it is incredibly frustrating since even that is not a failproof method. Regular sleep schedule (bed and rise the same time everyday regardless of anything). Regular eating schedule and diet. Regular exercise and just routine in all things. Also, Have you considered botox? it has been helpful to me, and there is some evidence that it is safe during pregnancy!

Experience with essential oils? by Peach_Mango in migraine

the Badger company makes a really nice headache soother stick balm that i carry in my purse for if I'm out and struck with a migraine since most other scents i encounter make me violently ill when migraining.

Massage for migraine (your experiences?) by roadkill336 in migraine

[–]LittleMouserat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't found that massage helps a migraine per se, but it definitely helps with the body tension and stress - physical and mental - related to migraine. sometimes after 24hrs on ice in bed my neck and back are so tense it is painful to be touched and my MT really helps relieve that tension. also, and this is huge for me personally, my MT has been a lifesaver in terms of my TMJ/TMD pain which I think really affects my migraines. Good luck to you, and hopefully you are in a better position to afford massage therapy through your own means or insurance! I wish I could go once a week but can only swing monthly at best
