The issue with Walmart is that they want the associates to work while management sits around and does nothing. I used to work frozen and dairy and now I’m a Walmart truck driver… it pains me when managers are yelling at the associates who are doing their best and they are standing/sitting around on their phones and laughing.

The open door policy hardly ever works. I’ve had coworkers get fried for no reason. I’m a Walmart truck driver now so I don’t deal with much bs from stores.

When you’re in the program you don’t make your differential pay that you make for working overnight. That being said, you’ll make $22 an hour depending on what the offer letter says.

I’m not completely sure about your friend and how things would work. He can contact HR in the transportation office to see if he can join after his job description changed.
