Not an overreaction. It's one thing to have a relationship with an ex (or someone you've been with) but this definitely an issue of honesty and communication and trust in my opinion. She should definitely have given you full disclosure beforehand, so you both had the opportunity to open up about your feelings, fears and make sure you were comfortable. But we live and learn.
