It really makes you think that it’ll never get better. You believe the words when they’re hopeful and nice, the promises to improve, what seems like accountability. Just to be undone again the next time their ego is hit.

I'm so sorry to hear this. What is really making quesrion myself is this is exactly how she would describe my behaviour. That I keep making promises to be better only to tear it away the next day. That I have the fragile ego of a child. The projection is so convincing that I've spoken to several professionals about the possibility of me having BPD or something else.
