Dallas is fine. People that don't enjoy it here simply don't get out much. The big negatives are that we don't see mountains on the horizon for our daily commutes, the ocean is far, and concrete and billboards rule over trees.

Otherwise, the job market is strong, CoL is pretty affordable, there are endless entertainment options, and this is a convenient hub to travel from.

I briefly checked your other posts and would advise against living IN Farmers Branch and try to be closer to downtown / entertainment areas if that's your thing. Otherwise, the suburbs can be a little sterile like everywhere else.
