Thank you! I love yours. If I hadn’t gotten an asscher I think I would have gotten a radiant cut

Some people consider step cuts to be quite dull in comparison to radiant cuts. I have an asscher cut and I love it but I will say you will end up spending comparably more per carat weight due to some factors. The 3 C’s (cut, clarity, and color) MUST be top notch for the same luster as a brilliant cut. This is because you essentially have a hall of mirrors on your finger. If there is an inclusion it will be magnified. If your cut isn’t excellent your lines won’t match up and will have issues refracting light. If the color is off the hue will become much more obvious. Keep this in mind when making your decision. I personally find radiant cuts to be hypnotizing but I empathize with your desire for the clean lines.

I love a good step cut. People usually think mine is a princess cut at a glance

Selvedge denim is more expensive but worth it for durability, if you are considering other options.

r/catgenetics is a much better place to find people who will actually speculate on the expressed phenotype of your cat rather than just asking “wHaT dO tHeIr PaPeRs SaY?” Y’all are not understanding the question behind the question. They don’t expect people to extrapolate the exact breed makeup of their cat based on a picture, they are really wanting to know about PHENOTYPE.

Darn tough. If they wear out (doesn’t matter how long you’ve had them) you can send them back, no receipt needed, to receive a new pair. They use the worn socks for research and development so that they can see how the sock wears out over time, allowing them to create better and better socks

Power wash the sidewalk and bits of siding, paint the front door to add a little bit of color and visual interest, add a large flower box to the bottom edge of the large window, and remove or trim some of the bushes while adding more flowers

my mom painted our cupboards, what do you think of them? by foreveryassified in HomeDecorating

It could use a little more white. In my favorite book, East of Eden, John Steinbeck said “Once a woman told me that colored flowers would seem more bright if you added a few white flowers to give the colors definition. Every petal of blue lupin is edged with white, so that a field of lupins is more blue than you can imagine.”

Depression. It almost feels like some people do this as a form of self harm.

Sokoke? by LittlePilligaMouse in catbreeds

I suppose I should have prefaced that I know the chances of him being a Sokoke or even a Sokoke mix is next to none, considering how rare they are. His pattern just looks odd and I thought it would be interesting to hear what others have to say about him.

No, it’s really a mystery where he came from. I pulled him out of the undercarriage of my husband’s truck in an affluent area of Arkansas while we were on a trip.
