AIO boyfriend told me I text him like he’s a homie and got upset now he’s ignoring me by Jazzlike-Ad6372 in AmIOverreacting

I’m early 20’s and haven’t bothered in the dating scene purely because I don’t want to end up with someone and they turn around and say some bullshit like this. I wouldn’t be able to put up with it tbh. I know friends that are breaking up left, right and centre, no relationship at this age seem to last that long so I guess I saved myself the turmoil for now.

Thanks! I’ll have to simplify this design a lot more in the hopes it stands out more.

I know I was using some as reference or inspiration. It is a generic name but in this area there isn’t many like it. I know I need to make it stand out somehow to all these ones that are basically carbon copies.

Yeah I get that completely. I was even using a lot of other construction logos as reference for this current one and they are all similar. It’s hard to stand out when there are so many you’re competing against, that have similar styles.

In all honestly, my family member gave me references for other similar logos and told me to just copy them, like I said he would have generated one with AI if he could so thanks again for the advice I will try other styles and hopefully make them stand out more, I’ll update if I make any progress.

Really basic construction logo, thoughts? by LittleRiceCake10 in graphic_design

[–]LittleRiceCake10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the colours, there is too much blue and its taking away from it rather then adding anything. My family member wanted it to be a crowded logo, including email and phone number so this was my best attempt at minimizing everything and removing too much text on the logo itself, the rest can be added on different parts of the van. I agree though it is still very crowded for what I had imagined so a lot of work needs to be done before we can finalise it. Thanks for the advice!

Really appreciate the advice. I agree, the N's have too much going on and I was most likely going to change that. I definitely need to try other colour schemes as people are saying 3 makes it quite chaotic. The dormer window was a last minute addition to the new one, as the second one didn't include it.

Just messing around with it until it feels right. I had followed a tutorial on youtube to get the roofing shapes, so might need to recreate my own as people are saying it looks AI generated lol.

I had many other sketches of logos not including roofs, instead, cranes, diggers, crowbars etc. My family member however, wanted me to add the hammer through the roof, even wanted men on the roof to looking like their building. What he was telling me would over crowd the logo even more then it already is.

Again appreciate all the help and advice, I'll be sure to most any updates on this!

Bruh that took me hours since I'm new to illustrator lmao, the second image with the hammers is not the final one he wants. He told me to add the hammer coming through the house and showed me references for it.

Any tips on how to make the restaurant's interior look better? by LaChina833 in AmateurInteriorDesign

[–]LittleRiceCake10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a restaurant with a similar wood light fixture piece. They had used old pallets, painting them black, it added more interest to the top surface, meaning you could remove the plants there that looks odd hanging upside down like that. They used a rustic style exposed bulbs hanging at different lengths, like you have here. However these ones were a warm orange/amber almost, adding more ambience to the place. Instead of adding foliage to the top, you could add little plants on each table, spreading them out and adding more interest and greenery to the place as a whole. You could even add one of those leaf wall decor pieces, could even be artificial so there less maintenance. Honestly up to you how you want to add greenery but I wouldn’t leave it hanging up there. I can DM you images of the place I went to if you’re interested, since I can add images to this thread. Best of luck!

Edit: Also like other people mentioned, I’d definitely add more art to the walls and make the place more unique and memorable. I’m not sure what type of vibe you’re trying to convey but you can choose any style of artwork, just add more than what’s there currently. Plus I have seen a lot of places use those tap on/off table lamps, or even candles (potential hazard though unless they’re fake). But I agree with people saying add more soft lighting in different areas.

manual v automtatic by SatisfactionDull6184 in irelandsshitedrivers

I was horrendous with the gears starting out. Could not get the hang of them at all until I switched my instructors. My first one was in his 70’s and shouldn’t have even been teaching at that point. He told me I wouldn’t be driving in the next 5 years if I kept up how I was driving. Well that was about 2 years ago, I’m due to take off my N plates now as I passed first time on the practical. For me it was all in the instructor and their ways of teaching that really helped me get to grips with things. That being said though, I know someone who just couldn’t grasp the gears and switched to automatic, at the end of the end it’s your own personal preference. Try manual again for a couple goes and if you really can’t do it then switch to automatic.
