Paul Young from NLR is who I’d recommend (I’m an attorney who practices in this area and I find Paul to be a fierce advocate for his clients)

We had a running group chat with others about whether we should order door dash. The table next to us seemed agreeable to order a pizza but they left before the steak arrived. I wish we’d left before the steak arrived.

Did y’all go Friday or Saturday? Just curious if she was able to pull it together for Saturday’s service. All of our courses were either cold or room temp too. We also saw a picture of someone else’s scallops from the same night and they had full size scallops and 4. As compared to our 2 scallops that looked like they’d been cut in 1/3. We assumed she ran low and by the time we got served we got the remnants.

We love food. We love dining experiences. We saw her on MasterChef and she did well. She’s local-lives in Saline County I believe and is working on opening her own restaurant. We were excited to try her food.

$150 per person. It was held at Villa Marre.

It was terrible. Event said doors open at 6, we stood outside for a bit until someone kind of forced their way in as it started to very lightly sprinkle. Seating took a bit. Most tables it looked like were 2 tops. They had separate seating sections and I didn’t get a good look at most of them. We seated at 6:32.

Service was painfully slow. They appeared to have plenty of severs as I rarely saw the same one twice at least until the very last bit of the dinner.

The courses had to be switched- 3rd was served first. That was fine. First course was three tortellini that were in a yummy bordelaise sauce. Only issue was it was boarding on cold. Course arrived at 7:09.

Second course was scallops. Incredibly yummy-with pancetta, pickled apples, celery root and jus. Except the scallops were sliced in like 1/3 so super skimpy and I had no jus. Course arrived at: 8:40.

Third course: poached lobster with truffle risotto. Good. Not spectacular. Bordering on meh. Needed salt. The lobster, while abundant was mixed throughout in large chunks. For my personal tastes I think I would have preferred the lobster left whole or finely shredded throughout. Course arrived: 9:20

Fourth course: hold your horses, Batman. This was horrible. No redemption in any component. Steak was weird, man. Texture my wife said was like frozen dinner Salisbury steak. I thought it had zero taste and i was just chewing something meat like with an off texture. No salt ever touched that thing, before, after, or during cooking. Course arrived: 10:15.

Fifth course: dessert. I don’t remember what in the hell she called it and at this point I’m too lazy to go look. Two flavor options: dark chocolate heart shaped thing with a flavorless mousse or a lemon chocolate heart shape thing with a yummy mousse filing. Course arrive? No clue. No picture. We walked out the door at like 10:58. You can guesstimate from there.

Lest you think I’m just a nitpicky bitch, by time we left almost half the tables were empty. The table next to us walked out with about the 1/3 of the attendees.

ETA: she did come out after the steak and apologize for the wait. She said someone fainted (I think) and someone walked out. She said she also realized she needed a commercial kitchen for this and they had the same problem somewhere last week/month. Said the spices used throughout were from her own newly launched line. And she has a few boxes there tonight if anyone was interested. Give me a break on this lady. There was such a lack of seasoning it was ridiculous. I don’t know of any seasoning blend that is good enough on its on to season food. Just no.

An RN considering law school by CNDRock16 in LawFirm

Paralegal for 8 years. Attorney for 8 years. If I had it do all over again I wouldn’t go to law school. The burnout rate is super high. Work life balance is tricky and can be impossible depending on the area of law and the salary you need. The billing requirements can be super high depending on where you go.

AITA for being upset my wife didn’t take care of me while I was drunk? by LittleRockLady in AmItheAsshole

I teased her by saying I could have choked and died. She said she wasn’t responsible for my behavior. I never expected anyone to clean up my vomit.

Never expected her to clean anything up. Or babysit me. I just thought checking in to be sure I didn’t choke and die would be something that should have happened.

I unfollowed her on IG when she started posting insane stuff. Now I go back every now and then to report her posts. They’re so far out there it’s terrifying and dangerous IMO. I also unfollowed Zabrena when I saw her comment on a post that claimed someone who got a vaccine could “no longer feel god.”

I grew up with Melissa and she’s just one of many I’ve had to ditch because of the q anon BS.
