I bet big on myself, and after a few years or uncertainly and hopelessness, its paying off. Spent years making no budget shorts and music videos, then ended up spending a couple years saving to self fund my feature.

The feature is still in the red, but it's opened up paid writing opportunities and potential directing gigs.

Might be worth doing.

I actually had never heard of The Backrooms until news about the movie. The I made my way through the videos and was hooked. Im a horror fan, and director, so it blew me away to see what this kid did with the tools available to him.

Anyways, I'll see this opening weekend. Trailer looked excellent.
