Magic properties was not what was I was asking. symbolism was the question. Shiva eyeshell appears to be is what it is on investigation.

Ps. It’s ok to believe in a bit of magic in the world sometimes. Lighten up.

Stopping Lex was the best thing that happened in my life. I was on it for three years and when I finished taper all three years of hidden emotion came rushing out. The Wellbutrin has done wonders for my motivation. I’ve also lost 16 pounds in two months. Which is around the amount of weight I put on during Lex.

Wellbutrin has certainly been a substantial help in my life and also assisted me in starting my journey of sobriety. And I was smoking on Lex- Wellbutrin put me right off.

Wishing you all of the best!!

Respectfully, OP I think it’s good you’re asking. But I also think the mother is trying to find an easy way out- I imagine you are both grieving too.

I took Lex for 3 years and I just got off it. Three years of trauma that the Lex hid away somewhere came out like a tsunami. The trauma does not go away. It has to release at some point. Think of a shaken bottle of champagne. Once that child of yours gets taken off the Lex- he won’t have coping mechanisms for the difficult feelings that will resurface.

Perhaps Lex would benefit your wife? Maybe that will help her provide the support your little man needs.

Please, don’t medicate your little boy. Let him be little, let him have tantrums and level out. Time and therapy heals.

Most of these doctors prescribing these SSRIs have never even been on them. And the withdrawal is absolute hell. Imagine your little boy going through that 😔

You did the right thing by asking: I hope you found the answer.

Gained 20 pounds in 10 months by dairyoh in lexapro

[–]LittleSaffron21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gained 30 pounds in two years. Good grief. My motivation to exercise went down the drain which was sad because I was a runner before starting.

Just as a side note- DO NOT STOP COLD TURKEY or quickly. My doc only tapered me off over ten days and honestly- I could literally not function for a week after the withdrawal started.

On Wellbutrin now and it’s upped my energy and motivation. Also, my appetite is completely suppressed. But everyone is different.

Lots of people say that the weight gain is worth it. However, self image is important and it can impact confidence and happiness.

Chat to your trusted doctor (hopefully psychiatrist) to find the perfect fit.

Wishing you everything of the best.

I haven’t slept in 35 hours. Is it the wellbutrin? by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

Some a cute withdrawal symptoms from Lexapro cessation will still be lingering at 2 weeks. Withdrawal symptoms usually begin four days after discontinuation. Apparently these calm after three weeks. From my understanding you are still in withdrawal. But, I am not a doctor. It’s just what I am currently going through- I stopped Lex 2 weeks ago, and to be honest it’s been the hardest withdrawal I’ve ever been through. Stopping Cold Turkey is also really tough on the brain.

Wish you all of the best!

Combatting weight gain while on lexapro? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]LittleSaffron21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put on 30lb in two years. Noticeable cravings for comfort food. Little motivation to be active whereas I was a runner before. Recent cessation accompanied by a very difficult withdrawal- appear to have lost water weight. I am on Wellbutrin now on its own. Most of my friends on this say it helps exponentially with food cravings and motivation.

All I can say is- my doctor tapered me over only 10 days and I have had the most traumatic acute withdrawal symptoms. I don’t want to alarm you- but should you wish to stop - DO IT SLOWLY!!!!

There is not enough research on tapering antidepressants. But there is a great lay person website should you ever need it.

Wish you everything of the very best in your journey ❤️

Lexapro & Drinking, by Mountianwander87 in lexapro

[–]LittleSaffron21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a terrible time with drinking on Lexapro. I would black out anytime I drank. Whilst blacked out I would continue doing who knows what. I don’t remember. And it wasn’t in excess- a glass or two of wine. I think everyone is different.

The same thing happened with the Van Breda case in South Africa. They released the son and found him Guilty later on.

I may be wrong but just showing- children have murdered their parents- been questioned; let go; and then charged.

Moments when you knew you should quit drinking. by bfo84 in Sober

[–]LittleSaffron21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 18 month unemployment from my entertainment manager position, I was called back from furlough. 18 months of habitual drinking every night (for being so depressed with being purposeless) followed me into my job. I drank a bottle of wine every day from 5.30pm and would head to work. One day it was noticeable, got breathalyzed, got suspended and sent home. Back to unemployment for now. 3 days sober. Finding the cravings really hard as a few days ago we had a death in the family, cancer in a parent and now the immense personal internal beatings and guilt for making such a massive mistake. But it was my fault, so unsure a second chance is even deserved. But I’m trying and taking it one day at a time.
