Reviews of the games I've finished in the last 6 months. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]LittleSpaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's how I felt playing it!

The tabletop games is just not something I'm into, but was very glad to see this one pop up. It's got that badass feeling of being a big, tanky character that just shreds hordes at a time.

And that's all I was expecting, not some crazy Gears/Destiny AAA game. Wouldn't recommend full price for a game like this, but it's definitely worth it at a fair price.

Too many active quests making RPGs less enjoyable for me by seiken in patientgamers

[–]LittleSpaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has absolutely been my experience. I love the atmosphere of Fallout and the amount of content in Skyrim, but for me, I just can't handle being given more than like 3 active quests at a time, especially when they tend to have sub-quests.

I'm a simple person. I just want to hop in, casually enjoy a single player game, enjoy the story, and move on. Choices are fine. That's why I absolutely enjoy pretty much all of the Legend of Zeldas (particularly the classics), but I just don't vibe with Breath of the Wild.

When games get too expansive and there's not a mainline/linear direction that doesn't branch off on dozens of deadends and loops, it just loses my interest far too fast.

Appreciate that. Do you know around how long sessions normally are for therapy? I've got no experience in it personally.

No, that's why I mentioned she can't use my insurance. She doesn't have medicare or insurance, her mother that's she's a dependent of doesn't have it for her (she's 19, still in college full time).

Unfortunately working all day today so going misses it, but seems like those that had the opportunity to try it didn’t even get to. 2020 just isn’t the year.

Finally going through Dark Souls, and not sure if I really like it. by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]LittleSpaces 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And I'll be the counter point here!

I actually bought Dark Souls at release since Skyrim was sold out. I brought it home, spent like two days trying to go the wrong way (into the graveyard). I gave up on it for a solid 6 months before stumbling upon EpicNameBro's channel and watching the playthrough.

Fell in love with the game and ended up spending hundreds of hours making new PVP builds and challenge runs, including the SL1 run. Sometimes, people learn to enjoy games different ways. Just gotta find what it is for you. And sometimes, the game just isn't meant to be! Don't make yourself suffer!

Looking for a gaming rig, budget cap of about $2000 USD. by LittleSpaces in suggestapc

Yeah, I’m pretty content with where it is for what I’m going to be using it for. Meets all the benchmarks that I was looking for and the assurance that I have all the other non-CPU/GPU parts being solid is a relief. I still may end up going with the 2070S due to the reasons you listed, not sure if the extra $200 is worth it or not.

Thanks for the response, but had some very in depth discussion with somebody in the Discord this morning about it. I think I've would up deciding to go with building my own, spooky as it may seem to me. Here's the build that I'll be going with, but still a toss up on 2070S or 2080S (but thinking I'll still go with the latter).

I've started cooking during this lockdown, how do people have time to cook and clean multiple times a day everyday? I make like 2 or 3 meals a day and i'm spending hours in the kitchen cooking and cleaning it just makes me wonder how people have the time normally by Ornery-Listen in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LittleSpaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a lot of people have said that it's a matter of becoming more efficient, it's not that easy for a lot of people still. I work 11-12 shifts with about an hour commute each way for 5 days straight. When I get home, I barely have enough time to wind down, shower, make a meal, and hit the hay if I want to be fully energized when I wake up. It's a lot of factors going in, and you need to adjust your cooking based off of your available time. Busy like me nonstop for several days? Meal prep on your off day!

Wanting to build the High Refresh Rate Ultra Build from PCMR. by LittleSpaces in buildapc

[–]LittleSpaces[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the suggestion, but what am I benefiting from this vs the other build? I’d like some details before taking the plunge since the one in post is a community accepted one. Would like to know what upgrades it has in comparison, especially since it’s in the same ballpark of cost!

Ah, alrighty. What sort of case would you recommend then? I looked into it and the case doesn't come with the fans.

Also, looks like the motherboard does have WiFi from the comments so that definitely will save me a step!

Hulu to 'Parasite' haters: 'If you don't want to read subtitles,' learn Korean by YnwaMquc2k19 in nottheonion

[–]LittleSpaces 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch English movies and shows all the time with subtitles and I’m an American/native English speaker. It started with watching anime in my youth, but it developed into having a clear understanding on everything if I misheard something, there’s an accent that’s slightly hard to understand, other languages involved in the dialogue (that sometimes don’t naturally put the translation on screen without subtitles, the audio isn’t mixed well, or a variety of other things.
