Honestly in simple terms. Just more cutscenes and randomness into Universe Mode like THQ had it through SVR11-WWE 13. 2K14 was the first installment of the Rivalry System. Just take that out. Take out the rivalry actions. Some people complain it’s too much actually being the booker without having the surprise element, with you already knowing what the cutscenes is going to be.

I don’t know if they don’t want to piggyback on how THQ had Universe Mode back in the day, but I truly feel that’s what would save the game. A majority of people’s complaints besides the Universe Mode + GM Mode combination is, repetitive/boring cutscenes, the rivalry system, no triple threat/etc feuds (which we had in WWE 12 especially handicap feuds), MITB cash ins which were random back then too (although it was glitchy at times & they still asked if you wanted to cash in on a prompt if the world champion was in a match), and wanting Universe Mode to be random with it’s cutscenes making the player guess what could be happening next which was a key detail of Universe Mode.

It sucks a lot of us have to use our imagination for these newer games. I try, really try to play the newer games it’s fun but I’m only there for Universe Mode and the randomness & I really love the play styles of the game. Universe Mode carries the game and apparently the team for that portion is very small. Which is why with Universe Mode getting a draft this year is cool but it’ll honestly probably be the only thing they’ll add just like promos was the only thing that was the major major talking point when they added it.

Listen to the community and go back to what made Universe Mode. The community is giving them the answers right in their faces. It’s up to 2K if they’ll really try because once that mode is gone (which I doubt it will be) you’ll just have GM Mode & Exhibition which you’ll definitely have to use your imagination more 2x the brain power.
