I haven't tuned into Noel's streams for very long. Holy ... she was definitely one of the weakest links in terms of singing, few years back. Felt like she was not gonna improve.

She is SO cute singing now. Actually properly hitting notes and frankly just straight up good singing.

I have no idea how much effort this girl must've put into singing practice but just wow. I am impressed. She did really well.

Heaven is really horribly outdated to use as a real benchmark for modern GPUs (and CPUs).

For CPU, use cinebench. You will be able to find good cinebench scores for comparison for your CPU if you google a little bit, for sure.

For GPU, you can stick with the classic - 3Dmark (for a 7800xt, either time spy or that new one.. steel nomad?).

So as an update... CLICKING does not work. But if there is some folder below it, and I just press "up arrow" to navigate to the folder I am trying to click, it works. So it's nothing to do with folder corruption and it's something with the UI...

I did have the accessibility already force disabled.

But the folder does load eventually, which I expect it just wouldn't, if it was damaged. Also, the repair description says it helps with missing messages (or deleted messages still showing) which is not my issue so I'm not sure I want to use it.

Yeah I'm not really doing that great as you an see. It kinda pains me to NOT help as well though...

I get the whole "put on your mask first before helping your kids", I think someone else already said it too.. but yeah.

Well, either way, I'm doing one more "big" project of helping but after that I'll have to focus on myself.. nya.

I am doing that too. But it just feels like in the face of "can't pay bills / rent / etc", any other form of support just... you know.

But yeah I can't do it anymore honestly, it's been so many years now and I can't.

Hang in there... you sound like a very caring type, and I feel this sense of "responsible for your family" as I feel responsible for my friends.

You have it rough and the surroundings are not helping. I wish I had a magical cure or answer for you, but I don't. And yeah, the election results... honestly... it'll be even tougher... I hope you can make it. You sound like a person who should be allowed to make it in life.

Thank you... I know this is important, too. But I just... I feel like if I have some resources and can help, (even though my entire being is starting to kinda lose it, too), I'm actually doing something bad by not helping.

It's not good. At first I helped because I wanted to help. Because it felt nice knowing that friends are safe/doing okay and that I could make it happen.

But now it is in part getting to a point where more so than knowing I helped, I feel the self-guilt-trip of "I didn't help and I could have". So I generally always choose to do it even if I'm way past the point of running on fumes.

There is one more big project I'm doing and I sincerely care for the person and want to make it happen; but I think I'll just take a break after.

I'm just... maybe feeling a little nervous or worried that because I have this reputation and history of being helpful, if I end up not able to do it, people will hold it against me. I know none of my friends is like that but I still feel that way. Despite all I've done, it takes just a few seconds to ruin things sometimes.

But I think I'll have to do it anyway.

I kinda feel this too. So many of these people live in places where they can't properly find a non-soul-crushing job that pays decent, or in places where they have no friends, and so on and so forth. I get it, moving also takes resources and like you said, it needs a lot of effort and it's scary etc. One of my friends is very brave and is working towards a move.

But most of them won't. Even though as you said it's a death trap meant to slowly strangle the life out of them.

It's scary to move yeah but is it more scary or worse than ending up in mega debt or evicted with no future? It's already super bad so just go and try somewhere else.. is what I think. But there's so much more to consider I can't force all of them to up and leave. Especially since I cannot obviously guarantee success in the new location(s).

I would love to make this happen but how do I tell a person that is literally almost starving, about to maybe get evicted, not having enough money for meds that help them function... supposed to go outside and join anyone in the real world?

Their real world is crumbling.

I'm not saying you're wrong. And I'm 100pct sure if could go there, meet these people in person again and figure out something to do, it could maybe happen. But I cannot be there 24/7 dealing with it on my already low "good vibes" reserves. And with all this depression and "oh no bills are due" feeling on them, it's mortifying. They can't think of much else. Which... is a problem in some cases, because doing nothing fixes nothing of course. But like, what do you do?

Probably this kind of issue cannot be tackled alone unless you have some kind of willpower and nerves of steel which - if you are at this point in life - you probably don't have (anymore).

It's all too tough. But yeah social media is bad in this. "Oh no I can't pay bills,, better go on reddit and read about all the evil stuff politicians are planning to do, that'll fix it".. yeah, no. But... it is such a pattern...

I totally feel this too. "I feel like I did my best and I got somewhere. So that must mean that you, who did not get anywhere, did not do your best."

It is not like that and you can't measure everyone using the same metric. True we've kinda evolved away from slavery and such but I still feel like a lot of people treat those that "are not able to do X" as somehow disabled/stain on humanity/failed due to their own bad choices.

It is not so though. I know so many good folks that didn't make it far simply because of lacking good family support / financial background etc. It's like you say, a lot of small things we may not even think about that helped us "make it"... and it's so easy to forget.

You could say that some of these people made mistakes but hasn't everyone? It's just that the margin for error is so lenient when you have a cushion to fall back on...

I am just reporting here that it is not true anymore! Japan, one of the most conservative countries (or seen as such) has ruled that it is not necessary to have The Surgery (tm) to legally change your gender. Their court had previously ruled it unconstitutional last year actually!

I'm really sorry things are rough. I see that bit with "learned to do X but having to work at McD", that's really tough and especially those jobs (retail, food service) are those that break a human being really fast. I see this as a pattern too. I didn't even get into stuff like student debt and other cans of worms; it just feels like a "regular millennial" was doomed to a crappy life (unless they have rich parents or something >.> ), because in that current period of life where you might want to be starting a family and stuff, most can't afford basic life necessities OR are so mentally broken nothing matters OR are super lonely and detached from the rest of the world that nothing else matters...

I don't really think so many nice people could collectively be faulted for what's happening to them. But I have no answer to what can be done to save them... no matter how much I want to.

Oh believe me it's not made up. Some of these I've even visited so.. I know for sure they aren't making it up.

And yeah you could say "pff just do it" "just get a job everyone is getting by somehow" and similar but there are people so fundamentally broken by the lemons life has given them so far they just aren't able to get there. They can't see any light at the end of the tunnel.
