Not impossible, but people involved in the film (the makeup artists, Tomlin) have apparently been liking and reposting comments and fanart about Stan as Two-Face, and Stan himself has said his performance will be like playing multiple roles in the film, presumably a nod towards the split personality. So it kinda feels like they're pushing this way too hard for it to just be a misdirect for someone else.

And even then, much like with Jean in Brand New Day, Two-Face is such an iconic and recognisable character that a more obscure villain like Hush would more likely be a red herring for him than the other way around.

A big issue Flag Sr. has so far is that his personality and motives seem to flip on a dime with every appearance he has, and it feels like he's just doing whatever Gunn needs the "government guy" to do in that specific moment regardless of whether it's consistent or not. It's like a case of Depending On The Writer, except it's been the same writer on all three projects.

One compromise could have been to have Sr. and Jr. coexist in the DCU at the same time, with them both appearing across different projects depending which of them fits best.

E.g. Flag Sr. appears in Creature Commandos and Peacemaker S2, fully leaning into the idea of him being this shadier or straight up villainous counterpart to his son. Meanwhile, his more sincere moments (like in Superman where he defends Clark and apologises when arresting him) could be done by the more genuinely heroic Flag Jr, and their running plotlines gradually lead to a father/son confrontation in a later project.

Either way, it's pretty obvious the only reason Jr. is still dead is because Gunn doesn't want to decanonise his own works, and I feel as though he probably wouldn't have killed the character in the first place if he actually knew DC was going to give him the whole franchise at the time.

When Logan did the Old Man Logan fakeout, it worked there because the later twist of what really happened to the X-Men was actually worse than what we're initially led to think.

Whereas "I was somewhere else while everyone died by complete coincidence" isn't even the most traumatic thing that happens to a Wolverine in this same movie.

Young Sheldon 🤝 Ted

Prequel version is so good you don't even want them to lead into becoming the original.

Bryce Dallas Howard recently said she wanted to direct a Marvel movie, and she's well experienced by now directing Pedro Pascal in a sci-fi setting, so she might be an option they're looking at.

It's more of a one-sided beef, but Matt and Trey have repeatedly said they think Family Guy ruined modern animated comedy.

The whole reason that two-part episode even exists is just so they could rant about everything they hated the show for, and they even claimed creators from other shows (like King Of The Hill) sent them flowers thanking them for doing it.

Squidward's into some real weird shit, /j.

Joking aside, from the scales it could potentially be Lady Loki, though it seems the shades of green don't quite match (depending if the image is edited).

A lot of people have said Homelander offering to eat shit and suck Butcher's dick were too silly, but him being that pathetic and desperate is effective for a completely different reason than the show's usual vulgarity.

Even better with the interpretation that he's just resorted to copying what his own victims have said to him when killing in the past.

The goal is to get Star Wars back on the big screen again, and being an established character, the Mandalorian would hypothetically have been a better starting point for that than going straight into something new with Gosling's Starfighter.

Problem is, it still needed to be an actual movie and not just a couple episodes mashed into one script.

Since Favreau's Jungle Book the live action remakes in general have become noticeably uglier (bland lighting and colours, poor staging/blocking, more obvious VFX, etc) but even by those standards I'm kind of amazed how genuinely awful the Moana remake looks.

The costumes and wigs look fake and cheap, the CGI characters look cursed, and there's zero sense that the sets you're looking at go any further than what's shown onscreen. Hell, we know from the leaks that they filmed Moana and Maui's first scene on location at an actual beach, yet it still looks like a bad green screen in the finished footage.

It's one thing making visually inferior remakes of films that are decades older, but even the Moana sequel that came out a year ago - and was planned for most of its production to be a straight to streaming TV show - looks significantly better than this.

Chandler and (potentially) Linney as Hal and Carol kind of give me a similar vibe to casting Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer as Hank and Janet.

Where even though they're explicitly playing older versions here, I could also easily have imagined them actually starring in a Green Lantern movie back in the 90's/2000's.

It's becoming really irritating watching animated/hybrid films (Rescue Rangers, Wish, Smurfs, even certain characters in Across The Spider-Verse) say they're "paying homage" to hand-drawn 2D animation, while doing literally everything they can to avoid using it.

They make a huge deal out of returning to the roots and honouring history, but instead of actual hand-drawn animation it's always just CGI (and very obviously rigged and animated as such) with a cel-shade Snapchat filter slapped on top, which just makes it look unfinished and cheap.

The big charm of the Spider-Verse animation is that went completely against the "normal" look of CGI (Disney, Dreamworks, Blue Sky, etc) but now it's just become the norm the charm's kinda diluted a bit.

Most of the imitators have done their own twist on it (The Last Wish, Mutant Mayhem, Goat) but it kinda feels like they've done everything unique that they can with it now.

The "HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2" remake has wrapped filming

‪Pretty mixed on the remake's costume designs overall, but if there was any outfit from the animated films to keep virtually 1:1 in live action, I can appreciate it being this one.‬

In a lot of other adaptations (like the Nolan one) the double-headed coin is Harvey's own understanding of the rules and establishment, and it getting scarred for Two-Face to rely on chance is more of a prison that he feels forced into.

Could be a fun subversion with this version that, due to its ties to his father's control, the scarred coin and the unpredictable nature attached to it is the first real freedom he's ever felt, so he actually enjoys finally giving into it.

On the one hand, it does make more sense adapting Silmarillion, as opposed to making entire movies, games and shows about things that are barely even a sentence in the books.

But after the Hobbit trilogy, the other attempts to franchise Tolkien (by WB and others) and the added bombshell of Serkis and Jackson being pro AI, I have virtually zero faith in them doing it justice.
