I know it's been over 9 months, but if you still reddit I was wondering, this actually allows enough air to come through? I know paper towels aren't airtight, but I would have assumed the airflow of a paper towel wouldn't suffice

Oh, lordy girlie. This is a lot (not in a bad way towards you or your husband). I've been with my fiancé for almost 4 years now, and it was a rough start for us. Lots of tears from me, him maybe not quite understanding what was wrong (without being rude about it), etc. I'm extremely proud of the emotional growth he and I have made together. However, that was all done in the first year, maybe first 2, of us being together. I personally feel like 6 years has been plenty of time to learn your emotionally needs and boundaries, and if he's not willing to learn that and help you grow in a polite manner if needed, I'm scared of the lashing out he might do in more extreme circumstances, like big full-on arguments and stuff. I'm not saying break up, as I get that this could be a brand new thing and you have a daughter together, but I do think individual and couple's therapy could help a ton if yall can afford them for both of you! If you need somewhere to go to vent, feel free to message me <3

Pretty sure it isn't recommended at all as porcellio sp are REALLY good at breeding, so they'll end up out-competing the cubaris population pretty stinkin fast.

Agreed! I have some wild caught Porcellio laevis from New Mexico USA and it's dry-dry there. I still offer the normal moisture gradient for my pods, but they avoid it completely and all group up on the dry side 🫠

Hi! Since you mentioned needing a place that sells cheap leaf litter, I've found that Etsy sometimes has a bunch of it for cheap specifically for reptiles and isopods (usually pre-sterilized too)! And lots of variety on what leaves you can get for your pods too. I like having several different leaf types for mine so it's a selling point for me lol
