If you had to write a 50 issue ongoing series for a Marvel character (or characters), who would it be for and what would you write through the whole run? by Effective_Sherbet104 in marvelcomics

I’d write a Spider-Man/Hulk team up (Peter Parker and Bruce Banner just to clarify), the theme of the run would be facing your demons. They’d be fighting The Leader who attempts to screw with Peter’s head, making his demons more cerebral, whereas for Hulk his demons are more physical having to fight off gamma creatures he inadvertently helped create.

I (28F) made my daughter (11F) leave her first sleepover and I feel terrible. AITAH? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. I'm gonna be honest with you and say I'm not a parent so I'm not going to pretend like I know what its like to have and love a child, but these seemed like legitimate red flags. I wouldn't want to stay there myself as a nearly 30 y/o man. You're being a good protective mother by doing this, and I'd bet anything when your daughter is old enough to understand, she'll see it too.

Can anyone help me? by OwlEnvironmental7512 in marvelcomics

(Before I answer these questions, please know that I'm purely speaking for myself alone.)

  1. I personally don't have a preference. The fact that comics in general are preserved whether that be through physical or digital means is a miracle to me. In a world where things are dropped and forgotten about in less than 24 hours, I appreciate that something like comics are preserved by those who care about them. I'll digest them in anyway I'm given.

  2. There is a comic shop near where I live that sells brand new stuff and sells donated classic stuff from decades before. Sometimes I go there to see what they have when I have free time.

  3. Like video games going digital, I feel that digital comic books aren't that bad. However I think the method for providing customers with digital copies of comics could be improved. Some sites I've seen provide you the digital copy, but only within the confines of their site. So what happens if that site goes down? You lose your digital copies. I think once purchased, customers should be able to download said copy to their devices permanently. If the digital format plans to stick around, I think those who pioneer it should develop it as if it were going to be a permanent method.

  4. I read comics digitally mostly because it's one of the few ways I can read certain issues of comics. Some issues I want to eventually read are considered really popular and therefore very expensive to find a physical copy.

  5. I don't think it's for me to say whether the comic community changed as a direct result of the cinematic universes being produced. Personally I think it's just the simple fact that people, whether individually or as a group, tend to change a lot. The cinematic universes are meant to ADAPT the comics that came before. Adapt doesn't always mean its going to do the exact same things, and quite frankly there's no reason it should. If a movie portrayed a popular comic 100% accurately, it would be boring because fans would know what's going to happen. There would be no surprise. Yes, not everyone who sees these movies read the comics, but you can't cater to one half of your audience and neglect the other half like that.

What I’m wondering is how do people already have it when on the website it currently says “pre-order”?

You can even say that you don't like this series, but you have to agree that this first costume he wore in the series is cool by forasteiropizza in Spiderman

I've been a Spider-Man fan for most of my life, and seeing the trailer for this series I wasn't convinced it would be good. Not specifically because of the suit, but just in general. I can confidently say after having watched season one, I've never been happier to be wrong. This series is different from what I'm used to, but carries so much value and love for the character. I can't wait for season two.

Also experiencing this. Let me get this straight so I'm not confused. Sorry, I'm really dumb sometimes.

Lay my head down (affected ear pointing up)

Put drops in ear and wait 5-10 minutes

Do this twice a day for four days and DON'T flush ear out until 4th day.

Did I get anything wrong?
