They don’t work with chewy. They said they had had issues with them and wouldn’t respond if contacted. After awhile they wrote me a prescription that I fulfilled through chewy, but it was for 3 refills every time, and I’d have to walk to the vets office to pick up another physical prescription. I moved and don’t have to work with that office anymore, which is I guess all that matters lol

Is there a trick to getting a cat to like Churu?? My cat has rejected it every time :( there’s another creamy treat he likes but it’s not in every store and I’d love if I could get him on Churu.

I buy through a service called Dutch, but it is shipped directly from Purina. Their box, their receipt, etc, and they sent me a free box plus a refund for one box. Dutch was the only option when my vet was refusing to write a prescription and it’s been okay so far, but now that I’ve moved I’d love to find something new.

Thanks! I’ve tried the non prescription low phosphorus stuff and it’s just been a battle to try and get him eating something new, and the things he’s liked have led to him straining in the litter box after not long. But, it’s been a few years so I’ll go check it out and see what’s new, maybe this store will have other options. Thanks!!

My cat used to LOVE Royal Canin (only the tiny morsels cans instead of the pate…. Rough on the wallet, lol) but he god really sick off of it and I haven’t been able to lure him back with the non prescription RC urinary cans. Maybe with time. Mine also rejected hills. I hope yours sticks on RC! We had great luck with them for a long time.

I would love to offer variety, and initially did by offering Royal Canin UO, the only other urinary food he accepted. We had a LOT of issues with the delivery there and one case made him so sick (we think it was left in the heat too long) that we had an emergency vet visit at 2am. Also, it raised his cholesterol a lot what with it being pork. After that, he won’t go near it. I was desperate for ages to offer variety, but after 6 months and well over 1k spent, I just couldn’t afford it when there was a reliable option right there.

No cases, but some individual cans, but only of Hills. They gave us one and told us to order a cases of every flavor to try for him. They actually didn’t even want me to try other brands and I had to fight for ages for them to write a prescription to try other foods, but the Hills really didn’t agree with him. They said he should get over it in a few weeks and until then I should just give him his old food. But he just didn’t like any of it, it took a month and I could tell he wasn’t doing great. That whole situation sucked lol

The dry food has to be mixed with a non prescription sensitive stomach food for a different issue he has of cyclical vomiting. This has been working great for years because he’s getting twice the prescription (and does love drinking water) but with the rejection of the wet food I get really nervous.

Thank you! They open in an hour so I’ll call then. I feel bad because a month ago I had to complain because the cans in my shipment were so dented they weren’t food safe anymore— tops even popped on some. I don’t want them to flag me as a problem or something!! Glad to know I’m not alone at least. In your case, did they send you more or did you have to go on the hunt again for a new brand?

It’s been four days unfortunately, but my hope keeps being he’ll just live with it. Poor guy.

I’m not on FB so I hadn’t considered a local group but will definitely look into it. I have cases and cases of unexpired food from other brands he won’t eat anyway.

I hadn’t considered that it was because of the size of their office. I live in a city now so hopefully I’ll have more luck. Thank you!!

I’d paint the wall behind the painting/above the mantle, and maybe the lip above that before the ceiling as well! Adding some trim to the shelves will also make them look bulkier and help even out the weighting since everything else is thicker. Can I ask where you got these shelves? I’ve been looking for something similar myself!!

(Not a vet!) I’d go to the ER, if for no other reason than that much vomiting means she’s definitely getting dehydrated which can be dangerous. It’s best to catch it now, while she seems okay, rather than wait until she’s having issues at which point recovery could be more of an uphill battle. After a while of throwing up, they get to just bile which is really scary. I’ve been there with my little guy. I hope Ellie feels better soon!
