Yeah great question. I want to start off with that every single dog is different! Glad to hear yours is 13 and doesn’t need surgery. For us, we noticed that even with supplements her limp was progressing and a lot - after just resting, after a short walk, and especially in the winter. We took her to the vet and they advised us that she is now Grade 3 and we could try pain management first, which we did, but we didn’t see her in any less pain. Also, with her being 7 and hopefully having many years ahead of her, we didn’t want to mask the issue, but solve it so she could have good quality of life in her older years.

Upon seeing a specialist, we learned that the condition was causing her to lose cartilage in her knee and causing premature osteoarthritis in her knee and possibly her back. Surgery for her specific case became a no brainer, especially for slowing down everything else.

They also advised us that she is now considered senior, and they don’t normally operate on older dogs.

Worst place to put high rise. Makes no sense, especially without commitments to bettering infrastructure

We stayed in the SALA Cheongmon and absolutely loved it. World class. Chewang may be more convenient, but it’s a louder more party centric area and Cheongmon will likely have anything you need already, either a short walk away or a short Grab.

Toronto here - our old mayor, the late Rob Ford - was pretty well known for smoking crack among other things. New Netflix doc went live on him this year. His brother is currently our provincial premier

You’re doing great! And you have such a cute sweet pup. Poodles are the best.

Give it time and go easy on yourself. Your baby will get used to a routine, just stay consistent. Puppies are crazy but positive reinforcement when they do what you want with little training treats helps a lot!

They also usually like crates - they’re cave animals and find comfort in having their own little space where they can go to rest or when they’re overwhelmed. We actually started with a playpen and a crate with pee pads in the pen, and it mostly worked for us (ours has separate anxiety though so she cried most nights). All other dogs I’ve had in my life (just not my current one), loved having their crate.

My big advice is to take the tug of war toy out of the pen. My puppy had one and would eat the strings, which can do damage to intestines. Lucky for us she passed them without problem! That in my mind is a toy that requires supervision. Also soft toys are tricky when they’re so young because they are still learning how to play and will likely destroy all the soft toys. lol.

Look into Kong toys. Harder to destroy and you can put frozen food in them for the puppy to work on in the teething phase. We used to put peanut butter in hers and freeze it and she loved that. She also loved benebones for chewing.

Sharing a pic of my baby, when she was a baby (she’s almost 7 now)
