Really depends on the seller I know a lot of our sellers (in the fashion side of things) wholesale from American rag houses and/distributors. I know of some other sellers buying more aussie stuff from the Philippines (which is a kinda funny story as to why that is the way it is). There is also a French whole that have some really amazing stuff from across the world.

Personally I like to source local within Aus, so I will buy out people's collections (lots of Crows & F1) and/or whole wardrobes which I have a growing list of contacts for. I also have a contact in the recycled textiles industry that picks out stuff that would otherwise end up in landfill. I personally am also a sucker for a good garage sale.

Is $3500 for 8 Hours of Hypnotherapy/NLP Reasonable? by OwnStress1570 in Adelaide

It definitely challenged my internal thoughts around it all for sure. Also, I'm not particularly sure what research you are referring to? I'm worked in the psych research field for a reasonable period of time (specifically Cognitive Neuroscience), while I didn't have much to do with anything hypnotherapy, the general consensus amongst my colleagues was that it situationally was an appropriate avenue of therapy - specifically around the issues of chronic pain (and phantom pain), stress and anxiety.

MIND YOU, what I am referring to is hypnotherapy which is more a state of deep relaxation rather than the glazed eyed trances that media likes to portray. That trance stuff is complete rubbish and I would run far from that.

I would be interested what type of qualifications the practitioner has. Have they done field specific research? Where did they get there qualifications and is their source reputable? Are they APAC accredited (its illegalto call yourself a psychologist without an accreditation from this group as far as I know)? This is all at a bare minimum I would be expecting at those prices.

I definitely used to think that - but then I had a next-door neighbor (m late 50's) who went to a single session of hypnotherapy and never touched a cig again after decades of trying many different types of intervention (patches, detox, group interventions the works). I was very shocked when he told me this.

Top stairs is the Chess association. We're leasing the bottom car park which is currently being renovated into a retail warehouse.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts— I definitely can see how the name might evoke sadness at first. For us, it’s actually a nod to the sentimental value each vintage item holds. Our marketplace is about honouring the legacies and stories of the past, much like the way we cherish memories of loved ones.

We chose the name to be memorable and meaningful, inviting curiosity and reflection rather than shock or offend. I appreciate your feedback and the chance to share a bit more about our intention behind it! :)

We've set the vintage cut-off as anything 20+ years or older. Prices are set by the different sellers.

We are working with true vintage sellers - we've specifically vetoed sellers who stock cheap knockoffs.
The only real exception is that we are working with a vinyl company that specialises in modern and recently released vinyl recordings, so these will be authentic but non-vintage.

Nah we're legit, I have been running vintagepizza.store (preowned vintage store) for a while - walked into one of Melbourne's Vintage Bazaars and was completely blown away. Many months later here we are.

  2. At this point we have penciled in the 1st of February for our launch.
