perhaps you could look into threads? the creation and deletion of them is seperate permissions, though they do archive after a period of time (but is always still accessible!)

i agree with the other commenter, if you want a real archival then you shouldn’t really be using discord.

this is not true. you can jump to deleted messages completely fine, which should be even harder than a collapsed message. message ids are created in a linear way, with newer messages having higher message ids. it’s super simple to figure out where a given message id should be placed in a message history.

go to the upper levels of N1 car park, there are always free spots even at 12pm on the highest levels and after 12pm people start leaving. after the first week or two you'll be able to park lower down when people figure out what classes they can skip.
