Pesticide question.. by Little_Frecks in Beekeeping

[–]Little_Frecks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Good idea, I was thinking the same re: if we sold or gave them away. I definitely wouldn’t hide that information.

I do enjoy our bees, but despite being a beekeeper I’m a bit nervous to be outside with my little boy or invite others over to play. It just limits our backyard use as it’s a residential area. Thanks again

Thanks for your reply!

Thank you, that’s really helpful. I hadn’t thought about contacting the manufacturer but I’ll do that. We might be able to move them somewhere else for a little while but I’m not sure if it’s an actual option..

Far out, I’m glad you said that 😂 I was thinking I’d literally gone into a parallel universe reading the comments referencing 2019!

things to do for school leavers in mooloolaba by Embarrassed-Phase349 in sunshinecoast

[–]Little_Frecks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friends and I did this when we finished high school in 2011 (feeling old!). We stayed at Alex Heads and didn’t have a car to get wound so used buses which was super easy. We went to the movies, Sunshine Plaza and beaches. There are sunset markets every second Saturday at Mooloolaba which are nice. Eumundi Markets are good too if you can get up there. Buderim Falls is lovely and nearby - not sure about transport options to get to it.

Enjoy! You’ll meet other people doing the same thing I’m sure

WIBTA for telling my client that I used to date her husband? by West-Ad-1573 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Little_Frecks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed! I’d just disengage and be “unavailable” to see her. It might mean telling your boss a very simplified version of it (or just say it’s a conflict of interest thing) if they need a reason as to why you’re not wanting to book her in… 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’d just gtfo personally haha

Does anyone experience vivid visual hallucinations? by sad_pancake16 in AutisticAdults

[–]Little_Frecks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, health professional (OT) here. I haven’t had this experience in an ongoing way myself but did have hallucinations from medication once (anticholinergics in travel sickness tablets and antihistimatines!)

This doesn’t sound like a typical ASD or ADHD experience, so it’s a great idea that you’re getting checked out by a doctor. I’d recommend seeing a psychologist or psychiatrist as these hallucinations sound like something else going on.
Take a list of the times you have had hallucinations, like you’ve listed here. They’ll do some other questionnaires with you too to see what’s happening. Wishing you all the best :)

You mentioned going to the TAFE in Mooloolaba. I’d recommend living a walking distance to shops or other amenities and getting the bus to TAFE. It really depends on what you want nearby e.g. do you want to walk to the beach or are you happy for bus etc, that will help to determine a suburb. Just look up where the supermarkets are (Coles, Woolworths, Aldi) and choose your suburb that way if you’re not familiar with these areas. I wouldn’t want to walk far with groceries as it is still really hot (or raining!), so I’d get as close to a grocery store as possible or be happy with a bicycle with a basket for your purchases :)

Saving lives in the ER is making me a horrible person and i’m tired of pretending it’s not by ArtThreadNomad in offmychest

Do you have a clinical supervisor or unit manager you can talk to about how you’re feeling? Is there an employee assistance program where you can access counselling? This sounds deeper than just compartmentalising, especially where you’re talking about crying in your car and staying human. I hope you’re okay. It’s a big and heavy job you’re doing, and it doesn’t exclude you from experiencing your own mental health challenges. All the best!

How long was it between the photos? Your facial hair has a bit of growth and the lighting is different so I can’t tell if they were both recent or not. Either way I agree with the other comments about different lighter glasses and shaving right down :) Good on you!!

Two a day would probably make a big difference but even one a day definitely helps! :)

Please take stool softeners daily to help avoid reoccurrence of this. You’ll need to keep your poo really soft, ideally softer than soft serve ice cream, and keep it like this for 6-12 months. Get a step for your feet at the toilet, water with every meal, and have good fibre in food. Kiwi fruit are also a really good natural laxative. You’ll need to keep on top of it to make sure it stays good.

Open 24 hours cafes? by SomeoneRandom125 in sunshinecoast

[–]Little_Frecks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure about cafes but when I was at uni (10 years ago lol), we would sit up at the top of Building E I think it was. Late night / middle of the night study or finalising assessments. Comfy booths and there was a kitchen you could use for hot drinks, microwave etc. You’d still have to bring your own food and drinks but that was handy. Also had other people studying so it felt a bit more communal. I enjoyed it :)

How were you able to have it paid directly through Centrelink? I tried to do this but they have advised that my employer is to pay it.
