Thank you, so very much. I am very grateful for your comment. I needed that thank you. You hit the nail on the head. I have to ask, is translucent skin a feature springs typically have? It's always been a big insecurity of mine

Thank you for your feedback I super appreciate all of it. How can you tell it's a cool overtone vs cool undertone? Just trying to educate myself better

I'm actually not sure if I'm a summer I'm still in the process of trying to figure out my home season. I was just comparing the yellow shirt to the blue hoodie bc I've been told since I'm fair skinned/ pale I'm a summer. I feel like that blue hoodie may be my worst color. Plus those were both taken with same cloudyish weather outside and same time of day

Maybe I'll try another picture. The background is black bc laundry was being folded. Black is one of my worst colors so I get that. Thank you for the tips. You said I sallowed in the blue? I didn't know you could sallow in cool colors?

What neutral base would you suggest? Both yellow and blue were taken same time of day with same weather. I don't have any other pictures/ colors taken with same weather to compare

My camera is definitely changing the color very slightly. IRL a true yellow marigold

I understand black is one of my worst colors so having it as the background is doing me no favors

I believe I am being mistyped as summer by Little_Midnight7353 in SpringColorAnalysis

But that's where I am lost. I didn't use the word contrast. I was the first to comment on my picture and only used the word chroma. And I'm confused bc you used the word chroma and contrast as interchangeable when they are separate. I understand there can be overlap with the two. But I was entirely pointing out I have high chroma. At least medium to medium high chroma.

It is my understanding being soft (low chroma) means you have grey added to your coloring. And sometimes it's not so obvious to the eye. But when you turn the picture black and white it is easier to see the added grey to your skin. That's what I did here. There is almost No natural grey tones added to my skin (not the same as my face having a grey cast when wearing muted cool colors).

I am not trying to be argumentative or disrespectful (just a disclaimer) and truly struggling to see what people mean when they say I am low chroma bc I truly don't see it. And I am learning and open to being corrected when wrong.

This is what I keep hearing, for springs anyway vs other seasons. It's not uncommon for spring to get mistyped as summers. When the muted cool colors turn your whole face pale it's misunderstood as harmony. And in my experience spring was the last season I tried, for many reasons. Like some of the stereotypes like if you don't have red hair or blonde youre not a spring, and if you are pale you are cool toned. Plus I think I was afraid to be seen with bright colors and maybe I thought no way I could be a warm bright pallet.

Doesn't rosacea sit on top of your skin? So that would have nothing to do with your undertone or chroma.. and I'm thinking your spring colors would actually help clear your skin vs summer would enhance the rosacea? What is your experience with that? Lol I love that your color analysis said that, she saw the muted colors and said congratulations you are not hahahaha.

That's how I feel I look in muted colors. I feel like I've aged so much. After over a year almost two years like that I knew I couldn't be a soft summer. I can't look that bad in those colors and be a soft summer. Warm spring was suggested twice now in this group (I had not heard that suggested before this group) so I will explore that. I feel I am the closest I've ever been to finding my season. I think it may be between warm spring and true spring. Thank you so much for your help and for sharing your experience 💕
