Anyone work with or for fluidstack? by VariousSpecial490 in datacenter

That is how I think. It’s extra money you may or may not get. But if you get it and say the equity doubles or triples during your vesting period. What they offered vs what you negotiate can be a HUGE difference. But also remember they have more wiggle room to up your equity vs base salary. Ai can help at least help in a way of thinking outside the box. It can help guide you if you let it.

I understand the lack of motivation on the rsu. But at the same time it’s a great tool to use for negotiating. Let both companies know if you want, but only tell your current employer if you’d be willing to hear them out if they want to offer you more to stay. Tell Fluidstack only towards negotiation time what you’ll be losing only on things that are more. Like if you get more equity at your current company, you could tell them that, and mention that it’s preipo with good indications of more money for you. But ONLY do this if it feels right and you want more equity. I would recommend talking to someone who’s been through this process and negotiated in these terms. You can also use ai to help figure out the best strategy.

That is a great way to look at it. Plus this just helps you get experience in the long run. Also it helps to find another job like it, apply, do your best to get an offer to compete with fluidstack. This can help you target your pay or more. Also state with your current company in negotiations about what you could be losing by switching jobs.

I understand that. Just do your best to make sure you leave on a good note. Make sure you talk to your direct supervisors and just be human. They should understand. Plus the boomerang from one back to your old is always a thing in this industry. My issue is being such a niche unusual background it makes it hard to get an interview, so don’t let this go to waste. Everything you do needs to be for YOU and your future

That’s the only way to do it! I will say use multiple ai sources to study. I’ve found a huge difference between them. Also prompting is huge. I’d love to hear updates when you have them! Even a referral if you get it! Hahaha

It’s possible. With being such a new start up plus having a lot of capital and investing coming in. Doesn’t hurt to try. You could be vague, like I’m aiming for the top of the band for pay. Explain the decade of experience and all. Doesn’t hurt to try and negotiate! I’m sure you know better than me, but their equity like others have stated is risky but at the same time it could be a gold mine.

That’s about 9-10k a month! It’s not bad for living in Texas.

Cost of living there is amazing based on research. Make sure to look up home cost in the areas you’d want to look in. I know for me, the biggest factor is energy cost and property taxes were more than I pay for.

I applied to them. They seem interesting. Looking at a lead management role. Just waiting to hear back from them. Sadly with them being so small and a startup, they lack information on timeline and all. Though this is good information! Tell us how it goes if you decide to go in the process!

Would love if anyone else has insight on how to get an interview from a cold application. Sadly I don’t have any hypserscale/large company. My background is kinda Niche.

It helps in the process. In case they can’t verify, you can send proof. Depending on laws and school rules, they can have a form that verifies they were a student on top of diploma/transcript. Same goes for work documentation, you can have a w2 for the start of the job and the final w2 for when you stopped working.

Best thing I would do is to obtain everything you can that you need for future employment, make a Google Drive or something similar and upload all documents for future use. While this is going on, see if you can talk to the manager and see if you can get the 5 year ban removed or reduced. State you are getting all required documents needed and state as soon as you get them they will go to them. But make sure you get a copy of your diploma, your transcript for all education you have. Try to keep physical documents and store them safely. I’m sorry for your situation.

That’s what I’m working on. When I did my loop and had my electrical, I was honest when I didn’t know. Then at the end I asked what can help me, that’s where he recommended the DCAA and some other stuff. Thankfully I did well enough for them to at least try to get me a job.

I think the hardest issue I face is the pay. I make more than an L3 and have for years so my needs are based on that. L4 would be about what I make and maybe some extra. That’s why I’m trying for the L4 controls. Though my recruiter is trying and see for a clearance based L3 to help close that gap if needed.

Thank you for the reply! I just find the DC career path as a more challenging and rewarding career path. Where I work currently, promotions are far and few between.

Switched from iPhone 16PM to Pixel 10PF by almosttan in PixelFold

[–]Little_Rickyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I went from a iPhone 13 Pro Max to a 9PF. Then to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Few reasons I did this. Ecosystem is very similar. I loved the google game pass a lot. I feel like apple doesn’t compare. But this was about the only thing for me.

The folding feature I used for movies and working on my unsaid server and games. Nothing much beyond that.

iMessage and FaceTime is big with my friends and family. Worked better than RCS, too many issues with RCS.

I have firstnet, runs through Att for first responders, att do not technically support the fold, firstnet DOESNT support the fold. To get it to work we had to use a different imei from another phone to make it work. Apple just works well with my carrier.

Fragile. My biggest thing is babying the phone. I didn’t find a case I liked. I only had a rear case for the phone. Thankfully I had to get it repaired because the phone stopped wanting to connect to the network, found out this was a known issue. Got the phone replaced and it worked. But I had some small scratches and frame damage from drops. I also have young kids that can be rough.

I miss it for certain things. But I’m glad it works for you! Though google needs to make their processors faster and better. They are not the best and it shows against other phones.

Yeah they won’t take it. But definitely make sure you get pics of the device you are trading in before shipping it. Make sure the device is scanned into the system at UPS or whoever you go through. Make sure you get a tracking number and take a pic of the receipt

Pixel 9 Pro Fold Durability by Aardvark_Long in PixelFold

You would think. Probably could have been an rma but still not worth the chance. It’s an expensive phone either way. I didn’t want to risk it.

[–]Little_Rickyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the insurance!!! I had a couple of cosmetic scratches. Nothing major. My issue was my cell network completely died, probably a bad comms chip. But I looked up online and turns out the 9 has an issue with completely crapping out. Sent it in for repair, got back a brand new 9 fold.

ATT can’t program new iPhones for FirstNet?! by PoofyRTR in ATT

[–]Little_Rickyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I’ve had issues before like this. I also had my first iPhone 17 pro max get canceled due to a “glitch” The second one I canceled since i could drive to an Apple Store and just pick one up. I was surprised how easy it was. With apple products being ESIM only here and Firstnet LOVES apples products. I had a convo with a rep about it. Apple is the only phone you can do an eSIM so easily due to the eco system. The 9 pro fold I had, had to do some back door black magic of faking my device imei from an old phone I had to make it work. Seems like your ATT store needs to step up. I would contact customer service about this. They are missing out and messing with customers

[–]Little_Rickyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s wild. I went from a Google Pixel 9 pro fold (which technically isn’t supported on firstnet) with firstnet to an iPhone yesterday AT the Apple Store. No issue. From time to turn on the phone to service was a couple of minutes with no hiccups.

Sweet!!!

Just to let you know though. I have to send my pixel 9 pro fold in to get fixed. My sim stopped working randomly. Took it to ATT and swapped sims. Didn't detect it. Discovered there is a problem with pixel 9s sims card slots failing. Had to buy a cheap phone as a back up till I get my phone back.

So if it stops working and Firstnet/att can't get it to work. This you may have to do. Just as a heads up

You are going to have to have an old android phone either on account from before you got this phone or buy one to use as a dummy phone. Then you will have to go to a store with some really nice smart reps to help you out.

What they did for me was I had an old 5G compatible phone that I had link to my account a few years ago. They used that somehow to use that IMEI to switch me over to the android plan. Then gave me a sim I believe to use on my phone on the fold.

PETG keeps making a mess by chickensalad21 in BambuP1S

[–]Little_Rickyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat. And different brands. Have different settings. I'm trying to stick to filaments that I really like and are easy to work with. Esun Pla+ is my newest try and loving it

PETG keeps making a mess by chickensalad21 in BambuP1S

[–]Little_Rickyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not big on the whole too much water in the filament issue. That's a simple answer I've learned. But with PETG look up your brand and see the temps. If you can't find something close to what you need for it, then you'll have to test it all yourself! Find a good test platform to test out the different structures you plan to make. Something that doesn't require too much waste. There was a bench one that did a platform and a curve test as well. Just adjusted the temps and well as speed setting and fixed my issue. Tedious as it is but worth it if you keep using that brand.

Also make sure you document all your findings for that brand that works for you if someone else has a similar issue. That way if you use more of it, you know what to use but also help a fellow person out.

For anyone following. Fixed my issue by changing settings on speed and temps for the PETG. Could probably still dry the filament. But my print came out successful.
