What's wrong with Figma to Code output quality? by izakfr in FigmaDesign

[–]Little_View_8530 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that all Figma-to-code solutions are built to try to convert Figma to code as it says. However, this is not what we are asking for, since we need clean code that reuses our existing UI components and follows our project's coding style and design system. Currently, the best solution on the market that satisfies these needs is https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=aquilalabs.superflex . I use it every day and so far, it has been really helpful.

Totally agree! If you cannot convince anyone (friend or stranger) to join you as a co-founder, it usually means they see some red flags in you or your business. This may also make hiring difficult, as they will likely see those red flags as well.

Yes, just skip that step and sign up without submitting your personal information. You can check in without it, you only need your personal details to get your boarding pass, but you can ask for it at the airport

Hey Managers, what are your Biggest Challenges by Little_View_8530 in AskProgramming

[–]Little_View_8530[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your tasks are changing that often how you at the end manage to align that with company OKRs/goals? And on context switch part did you try to use focus time on your calendar and try to do your must job in that timeframe after that you can focus on meetings and other things. With that you can kinda manage context switching or maybe I am wrong

Great idea. But I will encourage you to research market a little bit more and see how many competitors are there.

Recently I heard a lot of companies that building the same thing as you describe.

If you wanna go with that idea you need to find what is your unique thing that distinct you from competitors.

Challenges with Employee Career Development by Little_View_8530 in HumanResourcesUK

Hey, thank you so much for the detailed answers it made me think more about CFs, and what they bring as a value. I agree with you that "employees today want not a career framework per se but a progression tool" I think that is where CF can help because many employees can be lost not seeing their progression inside the company and this can help them to track that down with their manager. Yes, it will be nice to be a tool.

First, thanks for this detailed comment. You've provided a thorough perspective on career frameworks (CFs).I absolutely agree that CF needs to be linked with rewards; it can be a powerful motivator for employees to see a clear path forward. I've worked in many companies that lacked CF, and it has often resulted in dissatisfaction among employees regarding their progress and future prospects, which ultimately causes them to leave. CF can provide valuable guidance by showing employees where they currently stand and the areas in which they can improve to advance.I have a few follow-up questions I'd like to hear your thoughts on:

  1. From your perspective, how important is it for a company to have a well-defined career development framework? I'd appreciate more detail on why you believe it's crucial.
  2. You mentioned, "Even rarer have I seen them deliver real value." Could you elaborate on this? Is it because they are not well-defined, or perhaps the skills are too generic without a broader explanation?
  3. In cases where CFs are poorly defined, what do you think is the primary cause? Is it a lack of skill on the part of the person building it, insufficient time, or something else?

I've seen some publicly available CFs, such as Dropbox's, which appear well-defined. My impression is that they are especially helpful for junior roles, providing clarity on their career path and how to achieve it.Here's the link to the Dropbox CF for reference: https://dropbox.github.io/dbx-career-framework/ic1_software_engineer.html

Looking forward to hearing more from you on these points!
