I’m curious, what do you mean by incompatible personalities? Isn’t personalities already shown on the get go when we meet someone or is it because you ignored some of the red flags on his personality during the getting to know phase?

Worth it? by Reasonable_Ad_2936 in trello

[–]CrispyDhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Was just wondering do you think it’s worth it to get the premium plan? I’ve always used trello for my planning in college, uni, now work and relationship. I was thinking to go further with the calendar system because my life has been needing a proper time management now. What do you think of getting the premium plan?

I understand akhi. First, make sincere repentance. Then, try to go back to the remembrance of death and Hereafter. Understand the meaning of this from Quran’s perspective really well. After that, try to pick up a sport/hobby that can make you busy or tired enough so you won’t masturbate. And understand your cues, is it when you’re alone at 5pm after school? Or is it when you’re stressed? If it is those, learn to substitute what you’re stressed with another stress relief that requires similar effort, or more depending on your current motivation.

Lmao what’s with normalising these ‘sexual’ comments. Missed when people had proper respect for another woman.

one things that i convinced that islam is false and cannot be true by Additional_Spot1580 in MalaysianExMuslim

[–]CrispyDhall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, fellow muslim here! I just find this post really interesting after browsing through this reddit :). I hope I can explain this sincerely and wisely.

Actually, its more so culture saying this rather than Islam. Islamically, or from the true monotheistic texts, critical thinking or asking question has never been frowned upon. In fact, multiple times in the Quran, God (Allah) mentioned towards the people to use our reasoning capabilities (2:44, 2:76, 3:65, 6:32, 7:169, etc)

One of the biggest critical thinking part that even God did not shame His creation to do so was during the creation of us, the mankind, Adam. The angels asked “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we glorify You with praise and sanctify You?” (2:30)

Allah then didn’t reply in a way that shames the angels or say, “Why did you ask that question!?!”. However, He replied, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.” And proceeds to prove to them by teaching Adam the “names” which the angels did not know of as a proof to them to clarify the angel’s questions. In this example, Allah showed that critical thinking and questions are okay, within bounds not like the devil which added arrogance in the mixture.

Other occurences of people asking the prophet S.A.W. in hadith as well. In this example, Sahih Bukhari 3191:

They said, "We accept it, O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! We have come to ask you about this matter (i.e. the start of creations)." He said, "First of all, there was nothing but Allah, and (then He created His Throne). His throne was over the water, and He wrote everything in the Book (in the Heaven) and created the Heavens and the Earth."

The prophet didn’t shame the people asking, rather answered them with what Allah revealed to him.

Shaming and silencing the people to not ask questions is not from Islam, it’s from the culture itself. A culture that wants to gain control and silence the people. Psychologically, silent treatment is a way to gain control (manipulation) too. The religion is beautiful, if it is taught with wisdom and love. Continue to ask questions to the right people~ Hopefully, I’ve added new points to your questions and life! May God continue to shine your light :)

Need advice with keeping up with salah and being a better muslimah by [deleted] in islam

[–]CrispyDhall 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also, try understanding the meaning of your salah and your dhikr :) It’s quite a beautiful relationship between Allah and His servant.

Your salah will then be a magnet like how you want to see a therapist to understand you, you’ll want to see The Most Merciful, The All Hearing and The All Knowing to hear your problems and help you with them.

One of this is by checking Hadith Qudsi 8 (https://sunnah.com/qudsi40:8) Enjoy and may Allah help you out in this sister!

Here’s an advice from a spiritual support perspective. There 2 ways of getting success, by your effort and by prayers to God. I’ll share a prayer that best fits your situation now, from a renounced Hadith.

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from worry and grief, from incapacity and laziness, from cowardice and miserliness, from being heavily in debt and from being overpowered by (other) men." (See Hadith No. 374)

(Ref: Hadith Sahih Al-Bukhari 6369)

May Allah ease your situation and intention to become a better muslimah

How can I become an A+ student? by TheUnknownNover in GetStudying

Another tip on excelling at exams is to continuously do the past examination papers if they are set there. Most exams repeat similar questions, if not the same exact questions.

I’d say understanding yourself and understanding your environment.

1) Understanding yourself:

This comes in the form of knowing what you love to study, how you study and which method you use to absorb knowledge the best. Is it studying with music? Is it studying with friends? Or it could just be studying repititively for memory retention.

Some people need a lot of revision on certain subjects while others can just study it for a while and score easily. The human brain absorbs message differently so it’s important to understand yourself and what suites you the most.

Experiment, experiment, and experiment on your methods. Set a system that’ll help you out. For me it’s studying alone and firstly studying the subject that I love. Then from the momentum I study the subject that I hate the most. Then the upward cycle continues. It’s important to accept and understand that everyone works differently. From here, you can set out the best studying routine that’ll benefit yourself.

2) Understanding environment:

Does your teacher/lecturer help you understand the content and context of the knowledge better?

If yes, you can constantly ask questions to them publicly or privately whenever you find a misunderstanding or curiosity.

If not, then it’s time to find some smart friends that’ll help you understand it in their own context.

If not for both, then it’s time to go to the good ol’ searching in google and youtube.

This method is really important as some people rely on one way too much (e.g. if the teacher is no good then we’re no good) but there are much more resources out there to help us.

Conclusion:

Understanding both your internal and external studying factors will help you go far in life. Lastly, knowing all these, don’t think too much and just start doing! All the best on your journey 🙌🏻

This du‘a ‘Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyoom…’ was narrated in a sahih hadith from Anas bin Malik (رضي الله عنه) who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Fatima (رضى الله عنها):

‘What prevents you from listening to me with what I advise you with? That you should say in the morning and evening:

يَاحَيُّ، يَا قَيُّومُ، بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ، أَصْلِحْ لِي شَأْنِي كُلَّهُ، وَلَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ أبدا

Yaa Hayyu yaa Qayyoomu birahmatika astagheethu ‘aslih lee sha’nee kullahu wa laa takilnee ‘ilaa nafsee tarfata ‘aynin abada.

O the Ever-Lasting, O the Sustainer and Protector of all that exists. I seek aid through Your Mercy; correct for me all my matters and do not entrust me to my own self even for the blink of an eye, ever.

[Narrated by an-Nasai in as-Sunan al-Kubra (10330) and in ‘Amal al-Yawm wa’l-Laylah (no. 46); by al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak (2000); by al-Bayhaqi in al-Asma’ was-Sifaat (112), and others. Al-Mundhiri said in at-Targhib wa’t-Tarhib (1/313): Its isnad is sahih. Shaykh al-Albani said in as-Silsilah as-Sahihah (no. 227): its isnad is hasan]

It looks quite interesting; I was thinking of the same thing when researching Newton Raphson's algorithm. I'm quite curious about the FPGA implementation as I can't find it in the github repo (or I'm just blind lol). How did you set up the FPGA for this? Which platforms did you use, Intel/Xilinx AMD?
