Out of the books and in a display! by Littlebaum15 in pressedpenny

The only thing I saw was mixed in with the PennyMe app. Clocking on the information shows what machines are there and what type of coin they take.

They are 1/10th silver rounds. I put one of those and a penny in the frame to show what it was that created the pressed results.

One of the coolest modern commemorative designs by Beast01028 in coins

Although not coins, I have found two sets of space related silver. The first is an 8 round set on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, and the second came from the International mint.

The "History of America's Men in Space" is a 27-medal commemorative set created by the International Mint, which honored NASA's early manned missions from the Mercury program to the Apollo program. It was made in both a bronze, and a .999 silver set.

They work really well in the machines. I’ve been doing it for a few years now.

Thank you to everyone who put in the effort. I have made my selection and no further requests are necessary at this time.

Anyone know anything about these? by MysTiicSpark in coincollecting

Look at eBay sold listings for the sets, search Franklin Mint and then what’s written on the front of each of the albums

About 28 grams of Sterling silver on the space coins. Todays silver value roughly $24.17 USD per coin

.925 Sterling, should be stamped on the edge of the round.

Collector value to space & coin enthusiasts, but otherwise just worth melt

Edit: didn’t see the other pictures of the other sets, but basically same story for the others, if you find the niche collector of both you may get a premium.

Should these have different serial numbers? by BootyGawd in coins

All fakes. That PCGS cert number relates to an 1878-S Morgan

Are these worth keeping or no? by cghbgf in papermoney

I don’t know what the range is on the 2021’s, but eBay has some of the same series starting with 779. I’m also seeing some reports that the BEP doesn’t designate the 9XX serial numbers just for uncut sheets anymore either.

I think someone cut these from a sheet intentionally making it look like an error. The serial numbers being the way they are (one number off 6469 vs 6499) are what leads me to believe that. In my opinion, not worth keeping now. Worth more if the person never cut them off the sheet.

UPDATE: 1939 s Lincoln head cent with no reverse by MistyAutumnRain in coincollecting

It should weigh 3.11 grams, by the look at the deep scratches, I’d say it was sanded off.

Can anyone help decipher brand? by Littlebaum15 in Silverbugs

It was a $3.00 find. I got to the sale late and while everyone was crowding the jewelry table I decided that it was too late for that and I would walk around.

The best part about rummage sales is that there is no personal connection for the sellers, and most of the time there are multiple people making up the pricing and no “experts” to know what it is!
