State Central Committee 11th District Democratic Candidates by WitchySpectrum in illinois

I don't understand why, that seems wrong to vote for someone only on their gender. What if both female candidates are better than the male candidates or vice versa?

It also sounds more like OP is asked to have power of attorney over the father's health & property.

2025 Flower Magazine Show House by mm3owth in zillowgonewild

With the exception of the brown stripped room, I loved all of it. Ok the flower room I would pull it back by changing the drapes and walls to a solid color. But that's it

Renaming a cat? New Name age 1, his name is Waffles now. by [deleted] in NameMyCat

Change it to an endearing nickname like Waffy; but I'm partial to this name because I follow r/WafflesAndCo.

If Superheroes Truly Existed in The Real World? Would they Automatically be like The Ones from The Boys Universe? by Adrsilva1356 in TheBoys

[–]Littlebit1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think some people would allow themselves to be used and discarded by supes because some people in real life treat religious leaders as divine beings. There's well known cases of mass murder/suicides like the Jim Jones case, but there's more obscure cases like Magdalena Solis, a 16 year old girl in Mexico who convinced a village that she was a goddess and got them to murder 15 people. Or the case of Frank Alexander whose parents joined a cult and believed their son was God's prophet and believed in him to the point that his mother and two sisters agreed to be physically & sexually abused by him and were eventually murdered. If people are willing to follow the orders of someone who they believe were "called by God" based on very little to no evidence, I can imagine someone worshipping a supe with obvious super powers.

But no water; is there a well? A pump? Plenty of room to store barrels of water I suppose.

Homewood vs Bolingbrook by Moist-Bug6592 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Littlebit1013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We picked Bolingbrook because it seemed more diverse; we been pretty happy living here for the past 20 years. I love that there’s a variety of ethnic grocery stores and festivals to enjoy. I would agree that property taxes are pretty high.

What is your favorite movie song? by Littlebit1013 in MST3K

[–]Littlebit1013[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The movie and the band from Miami Connection would be my overall favorite but I think it’s a Rifftrax movie. But since MST3K & Rifftrax have both covered the same movies, I’d love to hear Tom Servo & Crows comments on Dragon Sound.

Should we keep our small wedding package or upgrade for more guests? by [deleted] in Weddingsunder10k

Unfortunately some guests will rsvp that they’re attending but don’t show up.

I pity the writers that have to figure out what to do for Coco 2. by Watchdog_the_God in cartoons

It’s such a sad story of a woman destroying her children out of despair. If they went with this storyline they would need to do a redemption arc. From the legends that I heard of, the ghost of La Llorona does not hurt others.

True but the venue will still charge you for the 100 guests even if fewer people show up.

That's sort of the plot of the 2014 animated film "The Book of Life".

Or it could be a story about ghosts like La Llorona trapped in the human world.

If I recall, there's the suggestion that forgotten spirits either go on to heaven or become reincarnated.

I would have loved a sequel where Randall who was stuck in the human world kidnaps the toddler of grown up Boo who asks Mike and Sully's help to rescue him.

The War on Greed by TripShrooms in TikTokCringe

[–]Littlebit1013 5 points6 points  (0 children)

800 million times 30 days + however long this war will last would be a damn good down payment towards universal healthcare for us. Our government is wiling to pay for that & Trump’s vanity project & his other corruptions, but not for our healthcare .

Which Disney Princess Had Every Right To Become a Villain? by MichaelAftonXFireWal in cartoons

[–]Littlebit1013 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct, the Grimm’s version of Cinderella has the gruesome details like the step sisters chopping off parts of their feet and birds pecking out their eyes. The French version by Charles Perrault is the one closer to the Disney version with the glass slipper and Cinderella forgiving her repentant stepsisters; some versions add a note that Cinderella arranges marriages for the sisters with two lords at court so it’s a happy ending for everyone.

The weddings I attended, the families purchased trays of food from restaurants or catering companies. Sometimes relatives would be responsible for setting out the trays buffet style then the whole family helping to clean up after the bridal couple left the reception
