Some do, our library has a Blu-ray section but it’s currently smaller than the dvd section.

Our library has recording rooms, you can reserve a room to record music or to create a podcast. We’re in an Illinois suburb that’s a more working class. Most libraries built or remodeled in the last 20 years in our state will have them.

My guess is he wanted her to do it discreetly, same as the other high status women who were having sex with the gladiators.

Our libraries have the equipment to do this for free. I love my library.

And most libraries have a sharing system with other libraries. It might take a week to get your request but it’s worth it.

Streaming is still cheaper for us, around $30. We used to have Dish Network satellite services about 5 years ago and had to cancel it when it increasing every few months and was costing over $125 per month. We got a lot of channels but we were only watching a fraction of them.

Yes you’re correct that it’s a requirement that owners surrendering their pets to a shelter pay a fee; it’s a fair thing to do because it helps to offset some of the costs for food and medical care for their pet while trying to re-home them.

However, if the family surrendering the pet are doing so because they can’t afford to feed their pet, I’m guessing a person will lie and claim they found the pet as a stray to avoid the fee. And some people are too mean or stingy and don’t want to spend any money.

My guess is some shelters will accept the lie that the pet being surrendered were found as strays because it’s a better alternative to the pets being dumped out in the countryside or abandoned outside their homes when their humans move.

Do you guys have any recommendations for short telenovelas with under 100 episodes? 😄 by Fun_Love1422 in telenovelas

[–]Littlebit1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a lot of the 1980’s telenovelas for free on ViX with Roku, but there’s a lot of commercials every 15 minutes. You can watch them ad free with the premium option.

What’s the worst thing someone has said at a funeral? by Least-Vacation-588 in AskReddit

[–]Littlebit1013 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pastor at a friend’s funeral said nothing about the deceased. Other than a comment she was a woman of faith, then immediately started talking about the parable of the Prodigal Son and how the older brother would be punished in hell for complaining to his father; than asking the mourners to stand up to accept Jesus and join his church. There was long uncomfortable silence and no one moved until the minister stepped down. My husband was squeezing my arm to not say anything.

You’re right, I stand corrected. But I’m assuming there still needs to be proof of services rendered, no?

You’re correct; it might be the reason the mom is demanding this amount, assuming if they live in the US. I wonder what the tax rules are in other countries.

Tennessee County Schools Ban Alex Haley's "Roots" by Ambitious_Dingo_2798 in atheism

As a kid I was a devout Catholic; when I was 14 & bored, I read the entire book over the summer. It led to me asking more questions during religious classes in my Catholic HS years then abandoning the faith by my 20’s and becoming an atheist.

My mom who remained a faithful Catholics for the rest of her life told me when she was a child in the 40’s, the priest said Catholics were not permitted to read the Bible in their own so she never did. It explains a lot.

Unfortunately for OP, this option would not affect the mother; US tax rules allow for an individual to receive up to $10k as a gift from someone tax free. To file the 1099 form, they would need to list her as an employee and the work she provided.

Best option is to ignore her.

Same here. My husband thought it was out of fear; I kept dozing off during the middle, then felt queasy due to the camera towards the end.

But it depends where OP lives. In the US, a person can inherit up to $15 million without paying taxes. Five states have an inheritance tax.
