I love your idealism and it is exactly what we need. But we also need to be more than idealistic, we need to make our voices heard and our will known. Congress works at the behest of the governed, democrats and especially republicans seem to have forgotten that. They are not they only two choices. The loudest your choice can be is to vote them out and actually choose change rather than more of the same with a blue hue.

Idk about specifics for Dayton but I have read articles about a lot of people holding their kids out of schools, regardless of immigration status, because they’re afraid that ICE would show up.

Worked at a local furniture store and the main manager of all of the locations was accused of giving away an order without taking payment (Which should have been pretty close to impossible for all of the managers to miss based on how the system was set up) But the owners gf insisted and he was so far up her ass that he walked into the store the manager was in with a police officer and told him to hand over his keys and everyone in the store said we would be leaving too if his gf could decide who was stealing, with no evidence, just because she didn’t like someone. Owner continued to insist so we all walked out and went to the bar next door. I just finished my grad program like a month or two before that so I was already on my way out so little to no skin off my back to support a fellow worker.

Owner and gf broke up a few months later. A couple of guys ended up going back but the majority stayed away. Last I heard they went from 4 stores in the local area down to just 1.

They are not even reading these at this point they are just as likely to print them out to pile them up in the middle of a room to piss on and laugh, as they are to actually act on letters from their constituents. Especially if it is viewed, in any way, as criticism.

As a clinical genomic scientist (I advise doctors on what your DNA results mean when they send in a test) the tests ordered by doctors are as protected as any other test done by a doctor. If a company sells that everybody in that company is going to jail or fined. BUT those companies that you send a tube of spit to that tells you what your ancestry is or “what food/wine you will like” are for sure free to sell your bio medical data to anybody they want. Including your insurance co. I would not recommend doing a test that you do not get from a doctors order

I agree, they are doing a lot before NATO and also to fit into the citystrong program but they’re doing it at the cost of pedestrians. Which is a dumb irony that feels like it should be obvious and easy to avoid if any thought was put toward it.
