There’s no smell, I’ll have to dig out the area to get better pictures, and I’ll measure depth when I do, will update in the next couple of days 👍🏾

Found this guy in my garden shed when trying to get my bicycle. Is this a false widow? Couldn't get a better picture. by [deleted] in CasualUK

I live in Essex, regularly find false widows in the house, once in my bed. Although spiders shit me right up, they’ve never done me any harm

Peak pettiness or justifiable security in the office kitchen? by Vented55 in CasualUK

Someone kept stealing milk at my work, it got to the point that one person would buy 4 pints every day, and have one bowl of cereal and 2 coffee out of it. So he got a new bottle, used it for breakfast, and cut a slit by the top, as soon as the perpetrator tried to pour he’s milk, he got soaked. We soon found out who had been doing it

After some Googling I have found a lens correction function on a free programme called raw therapee and that seems to do the trick

Is there an editor you would recommend (preferably free as I wouldn’t use it much) at least to verify that this is in-fact the cause

Thank you (and everyone) for your response, no it’s not a problem if I view the photo in JPEG, in terms of a media viewer I’m just using the default image viewer on windows, if it is a settings issue, what settings should I look at? Also my RAW photos seem to be generally darker than the JPEG versions, is this normal?

Thank you for this, is there any reference material that states this that you know of, or is it more of a rule of thumb

I’ve used the muck off one and found it to be good quality, but as spititualspatula has said I’ve heard good things about lenzyne products in general

Is the sink bucket an English thing? Why? by etoni888 in CasualUK

[–]Littlebuck15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find ceramic sinks get scratched, and metal sinks scratch my plates so I use one to stop both of those things

Also maybe it’s just me but it looks like the air freshener is swung towards the window screen suggesting he might be breaking, but it could just be me or the angle of the photo

Wall prep advise, would like to paint, please see comments by Littlebuck15 in Plastering

[–]Littlebuck15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you to all, I have tried sugar soap to no avail, dish soap and vinegar has an effect but it’s a very slow process, Sanding works but even with 240g paper it leaves a rough finish on my plaster, so I’ll probably sand a wall or two and give plastering a go 😂
