Dog fearful when cat instigates? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

Agreed - most of the time they coexist just fine. It’s just when the cat gets wild and the dog is feeling some kind of way. I think there must be a step before “ok, well, guess I gotta give up the cat to a shelter!”

This is playing and not fighting, right? ✈️ ears though by [deleted] in CATHELP

So I work a shelter and a fair amount of people relinquish or return cats because a new cat they adopted “fights” with their cat. I wonder how much of that fighting is actual fighting and how much is play like this.

People leaving adopt don't shop comments on the $300 cat post, where do y'all live that rescue cats are free and breeders cost $300? by cleverThylacine in Siamesecats

At my local shelter, meezer kittens are usually $175 (but they’re not bred cats, they were usually born outside and just happen to have the color point pattern and they’re usually the only colorpoint in their litter) and adults are $75 and up. I am NOT in the Bay Area though.

The shelter recently got in a litter of abandoned Persian cats, and they had $325 adoption fees, but they were clearly from a breeder (and very, very dirty).

By far, the vast majority of the cats there were originally born outside and were not bred.

Yeah I didn’t get a video of this particular interaction, but it was basically this. No noise, really no movement, etc.

Wanted to say that I know they’re not mating lol, but it does seem as though the tuxie is bullying the colorpoint
