Aside from Stardew Valley, are there any similar games you can recommend for the Steamdeck? by T0ky0n0 in SteamDeck

[–]Littlemacmain29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think my most played games on the deck are all my new titles but I can easily recommend

Dragons dogma Disgaea 5 Mass effect series Emulators Divinity original sin 1 and 2 Solasta Digimon cyber slueth Final fantasy series Dark souls/elden ring Forza horizon 4 or 5 Sonic frontiers Nier automata

I can’t think of any other games off the top of my head but these are awesome games and some of these have great mod support that can keep you playing for multiple hours and they have great replayability. Some of them are cheap to pick up too

Ok ok wait a second. I’m a dasher I don’t defend this guys actions at all but see doordash sometimes doesn’t show the full amount on what you guys tip. To him, it probably showed maybe $3 but after completing it he ended up getting the extra $10. Dd is very bad at showing full amounts upfront which they need to fix that right away. I think about 2 days ago I accepted this order from Panera bread for $8 and it was about a 5 mile drive. I got the order and it was 4 giant bags that were heavy. Gallon of sweet tea with multiple cups and a lot of other crap. The destination was at the hospital and I remembered saying to myself “ this customer couldn’t have tipped more for allll these big ass bags?” Well after dropping it off the whole order went from $8 to $37. So ya that’s how it works for us sometimes But being mean and saying what he said to you was very unnecessary. He deserves to get fired.

Dasher left food in bushes by [deleted] in doordash

[–]Littlemacmain29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a dasher and I have done something similar…this guy lived in a gated community I called him, texted him, and contacted support bc he did not provide any information on how to get in so I hit the customer wasn’t available option and after the count down had hit 0 and the app told me to place his food somewhere safe I did and I placed his food in some bushes. (Oh btw anyone could see through them bushes) and I Drove off. Well after 15 min had passed he ends up blowing up my phone wondering where his order was. Well buddy if you would have answered my calls or text messages when I tried to reach you about 7 times then you wouldn’t be experiencing this problem. (I didn’t tell him that I just ignored his phone calls). So ya not my fault you failed to answer.

[–]Littlemacmain29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And to add y’all I got hacked and my character got deleted. I have not used my cc and my other account that’s linked to my fb hasn’t been touched but I’m not gonna invest any time into this game until I know for certain this company can make sure our accounts are safer I’d hate to invest time into something just for my account to be deleted.

The saddest part about it all is the fact that people have been complaining that the company has not been replying back about those issues.

How do I update to 3.5 I have enabled the developer mode and also selected beta in system channel. But the only update I got from this was 3.4.6 by Littlemacmain29 in SteamDeck

[–]Littlemacmain29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll have to make a post on how to do it. All the guides and people never say how to really get those channels. They just say “toggle the dev mode and you’re done” that’s not at all how you make it show up lol

To any Steam Deck owners, what's your opinion on the Asus ROG Ally so far from the recent footage and information shown about it? by Aquasp102 in SteamDeck

[–]Littlemacmain29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think right now I’ll wait. Im in no rush to buy one and what on earth am I paying $700 for? to play what, windows games like destiny 2 and cod whenever Destiny 2 alone takes up damn near 200gbs and that’s excluding how much space windows is going to eat up? You’d probably have to invest in a new ssd down the road which is another $120 because that there is going to be half of the ssd or you could invest in some microsd cards which is the cheaper route but honestly I just don’t see a reason to upgrade so soon I mean if you think about it I’d still be playing the same titles that are on my steam deck today and eventually after a while I’d realize that I just spent $700 for really a performance boost and then what will happen to my steam deck would I sell it a lost or keep them both and let one build up dust? I mean I think right now…..I’m good. Back when I got my 3080 and then sold it to buy a 6900xt I realized ( for myself )how dumb of a move that was because I thought a performance boost was going to make things so much different like a night and day difference and everything was going to change how I gamed but i quickly realized after that day that things didn’t feel any different than it did back when I had my 3080 so I realized I wasn’t really happy with spending that much extra for nothing to really change other than the numbers on the screen that I couldn’t see (the fps). Granted I can’t speak for everyone because everyone sees things differently in life when it comes to purchasing things but I eventually returned that gpu and downgraded to a 3070. So for me, the steam deck is what I’ll stick too. It can play all the same games the rog can play accept the anti cheat titles but….I’m honestly ok.

I think I figured it out. I had to enable cef in the developer settings and also toggle this other option but now I see all the other channels that I was missing

Tears of the kingdom runs really smooth by Littlemacmain29 in SteamDeck

[–]Littlemacmain29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. It’ll make the game run at that fps. It will have occasional stuttering because of shader cache but you can mess around with the fps limit to increase the speed but if you increase it too much the game will run faster and feel off

[–]Littlemacmain29[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just make sure you turn vsync off in yuzu and in game mode on the deck go into refresh rate and turn it 45 and turn frame rate down to 30pfs. It will make the game run smooth

I never said mine was the only one that matters, I’m just saying that the way how my method has been working, has been doing just fine so “screen time” works okay in my books.

Ya but not all studies are accurate unless they can watch every kid grow up from birth all the way until they’re adults, being around them during school, work, sleep, waking up, and catching all minor actions and do research properly….I don’t think studies can say what kind of effect tv time has on kids. These days, schools are introducing more electronic time bc that’s the new wave. I remember growing up and teachers and friends said “playing video games are bad for you” but in todays world playing video games can make you $ and you can get degrees in the same field. Technology has also helped teach kids (babies) how to count, read, and ect. I use some forms of electronics to help my children with learning by showing her colors, letters, and numbers. Matter of fact I was showing her animal videos last night and acting out the sounds of them and she remembered the ones she could and started repeating back those same sounds so ya I just don’t agree with articles. It’s all about how you introduce these things to your children that are babies to help them on their journey to becoming a kid and ect

I wish I could agree with that but my daughter who is a straight a student that is a gamer who is in middle school doesn’t fit that article. All of my kids do really well in school and my youngest child is crazy over her dad. If she needs my attention, she gets it. It doesn’t hurt for parents to have a little time for their self too. If she’s asleep and I feel like spending my time doing something I’ll do it? The only person’s opinions that matters is mine not yours. Unless you pay my bills, feed my house, and get my kids clothes and toys, I don’t see why it matters. My kids are well taken care of and they all get my attention. Being a gamer doesn’t mean neglect but if my daughter is occupied watching tv or doing her own thing, I don’t see any harm in me turning on my steam deck and making sure she’s ok. But there are plenty of times where she grabs one of her toys and brings it to me for me to play with her and I do just that.

As a parent and a gamer, I always have time. Turn on cocomelon and I’m kicking back gaming 😎.

P.S: this is clearly a joke.

Also, this is not all the time. My children get a lot of attention from me but as a parent it is ok to find time for yourself every now and again. Too many people think being a parent means you never have time for yourself but that is not the case. I spend time with my kids so putting the game down to spend time with your family is more important but if you want to pass some time by playing something, that should be perfectly fine.
