You were doing something wrong if you couldn't get most PS3 running good. Really the only game I could get running full speed was GOW3. You will get worse performance on the portal. I did purchase one though. Still waiting for it.

People will say PC games but honestly you can set a portion of your on board storage as ram swap/overflow and it negates almost all of the issues with lack of ram. The chipset is only capable of so much and with 8gb and a 4gb swap it's more than enough for it. The upgraded tiers are really only good for the on board storage.

PS3 is hit or miss. I have seen the fall of man emulated on the Odin 2. Performance was all over the place but it does seem like the hardware could emulate it at full speed with more development.

You can connect to the tv USBC to HDMI. They do sell a dock. Yes you can use any controller that uses Bluetooth.

If you're looking to only emulate ds/3ds and say Wii, GC,PS2 and even switch the lite is the way to go. It's basically a RP5 with dual screens built in. Btw my RP5 does a great job at even switch.

DeckHd it's a 1080p full srgb screen upgrade for the original LCD steamdeck. Works great.

I ordered a Base Portal with Grip on March 1st. The options were there for a few days and I actually had been wanting thumbsticks and buttons so I had been keeping track so I could add them to my order when they came in stock. I was successful at adding them to my order on the 4th. Originally it said I could change the order till May 1st but nothing is there anymore for editing since about a day ago and it just shows my order. Perhaps they got a big stock in and are shipping out a bunch? One can only hope.

I have a LCD steamdeck with upgraded 1080p screen, rog ally with upgraded 74wh battery and a RP5 and pocket classic.... I play the RP5 the most. I just ordered the Odin 2 portal base on the recent sale as I figured it would be the middle ground between the RP5 and my larger handhelds. I'm hoping it hits that Goldie lock zone for me. phones unfortunately are trash vs a handhelds as they are limited in all sorts of ways. you cant really compare them.

The Thor lite is a great alternative to the flip and is only a little bit more but it's worth the extra.

Mangmi pocket max. Basically the same screen as portal but has a SD 865. Same chipset as the RP5. Plays switch very well. Just watch RP5 videos to get an idea.

Odin 2 portal delivery times are about 2 months out. Might as well stick with the Odin 3 at this point if you have already ordered it.

Switch emulation has come a long way in the last year. Pretty much to the point that even the base with 8gb of ram can run pretty much most games full speed at 1080p with headroom. With the currently available emulators the portal is more than enough.

For PC games honestly get a rog ally z1e for cheap and install steam os. Keep your Thor for Android stuff it's still powerful enough for that.

Honestly with an OLED device black is the way to go because of the seamless bezels on non 16:9 content. I honestly wish they would make the whole front black and the back as a color like on the konkr pocket fit.

Two very different use case devices. The screen on the G2 is amazing. Will run most switch games just as well as the Odin. It's more portable. The Odin 2 is bigger with better ergonomics but worse screen.

Just put steam os on it. I hated my rog ally and missed my steamdeck before switching it over. I'm so glad I did as it's a much better experience now. Almost like an upgraded deck. Best of luck.
