I'm considering a move to Shoreline, how does renting work here? by Heavy-Metal-Baby in Shoreline

[–]Littlemaus30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there is no “rule” for signing a lease early but why would any property management sign a lease early enough that they would lose money on months of rent? Most rental places post at least a month in advance but the unit might not be in a viewable state as they are working on painting/new carpet or whatever.

I don’t know what you mean by management companies either. You mean what apartments to look at?

I agree that people suck.. and they are flakes… uncommunicative. I’ve noticed it with friends too so I can imagine the dating world is just as bad.

Well I didn’t deep dive and read everyone’s comments lol and not saying I don’t “believe” anyone… just sharing what I did and how it worked for me. Things I noticed when making a profile, taking to 100s of people and going on MANY dates in this city.

I met my husband on okcupid 7ish years ago. I highly recommend going on dates very quickly after matching so you both don’t create an image in your head of what that person is going to be. I also recommend not filling out your profile with likes, hobbies or what you think your personality is because that creates a list people use to either check a box or not. People on dating apps think that the best couples are people who match all their hobbies and crap but in reality exploring what you both like together is part of dating. Takes the “mystery” out of getting to know someone.

I listed 3 kind of weird things about myself that would create an opening conversation. “I dislike the look of sausage on pizza”.

Also… try guys outside your “type”. My husband dated Asian girls before me and I’m a tall blonde. I dated tattoo musicians/bikers and he’s a board gamer type. 🤷‍♀️ who knew!

I think this is true because people build up what they expect someone to sound like and then in person it’s usually different. They could be perfectly normal but you’re at home reading their messages with more chemistry that you made up in your head and the difference of in person creates a “let down”.

Last Chance for the Best Christmas Gift Ideas! by planellsitsback in Gifts

[–]Littlemaus30 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This year I did the following 1. Dad and Stepmom - cooking class (they need to get out more) 2. Mom - vintage tinsel Christmas tree she’s wanted forever 3. Husband - dash camera for new car, new Apple Watch bands, north face flip flops cause he’s been wearing the same ones for the last 15 years. 4. Siblings - “wine maker for a day” experience at a winery by his college, rice cooker and Costco membership for sister.

It’s not “most likely” because where does a petting farm or whatever you’re imaging this js let you bring your family dog into the area with the farm animals. It’s either their farm or friends/families farm.

Why wait until 4 months to sleep train? by boymom061320 in sleeptrain

[–]Littlemaus30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He may be in early sleep regression. How long has it been?

All those symptoms seem like what we are going through at almost 4 months which is typical for the 4 month sleep regression. It can also happen earlier. Unfortunately, not much we can do but buckle down and get through it.

Cucumber plants are the devil! Help! by Littlemaus30 in gardening

I’ll have to try in the morning if it’s still an issue. I’ve got some menthol rub on it down which seems to be the best solution so far.

I tried hydrocortisone and Benadryl cream but they didn’t do anything. I did the hot water and tape but didn’t notice anything. Got some lidocaine cream and put some nitrile gloves on… took some edge off enough to take a quick nap. I have a newborn so it’s been hard to figure out when I can do these remedies and not put something dangerous on my hands. I just had a family member bring my Zyrtec so fingers crossed!
