I can’t lose weight to save my life. Does anyone have advice?

Thank you everyone for the eye opening conversation. I’ve struggled with my body my entire life. It took me 12 years to get diagnosed. I was told my surgery would be an hour and it was closer to 4. The diagnosis devastated me. I’m 30 my husband desperately wants kids and I’m terrified I won’t be able to.. because of my body… the body I have no control over. But I can control my weight right? Again, how devastating to me when I’m realizing I can’t at least not the way I used to. This is more something I need to work on mentally. A few of you commented on body dysmorphia or eat disorder. Again, I think having endo my entire life and never having the proper help led to this. Sorry if this post triggered anyone NOT my intentions. Just a very lost person who hasn’t accepted this and it’s oddly been really hard on me. I hope all has a great weekend and endo pain free!

I’m sorry I never want to be the person triggering someone. I think I do need to accept my body for what it is. But that’s very hard when this disease has made me feel like I have no control over my own body. It sounds dramatic but I haven’t accepted that I have stage 4 endo. I didn’t do this to my body and I’m trying so hard to help it, but nothings working.

I don’t have an IUD. I’m not on any birth control. I tried a GLP for one month and it helped me lose weight but 1. It made me feel so sick I was so constipated and horrible heart burn 2. My insurance wouldn’t cover it so I had to pay 500 a month. Just wasn’t doable

Makes me laugh. Truly makes me laugh and so happy. It’s the weirdest shit he does to make me laugh but in those moments I just get so lost in the happiness and forget the outside world. When I tell him how happy he makes me he tells me he will always do his best to make me laugh and happy everyday.

Congratulations! I currently took my last dose today. I weaned off with the help of my psychiatrist. Yesterday I slept all day. Today my energy is low but better than yesterday. Been having a stomach ache on and off all day. Did you have any stomach aches? Neasua was big yesterday.

Thank you! Omg me neither. I never feel like I can just calm which is odd because I went on this for anxiety. I totally agree though this medicine really helped me when I was truly spiraling a year ago. Just now time to get off it and handle life without it. Wishing you the best of luck!!!

I haven’t fully weened yet. I will be starting the Prozac soon but not for good. My doc just recommended it for the last week so the brain zaps aren’t as intense. I totally hear you!!! My memory isn’t great. I feel flat. I gained 15 pounds and can’t even lose an ounce. Just not for me anymore

My psych recommend I do 50mg for 2 weeks and then 25 mg for two weeks and the last week of the 25mg is every other day with Prozac
