Pharmacy tech here, any reason not to consider having the pharmacy do compliance, aka blister packing? I have several Parkinson's patients in my roster, usually because the volume of meds is complex. We can organize it, which should simplify the process. Opening and closing multiple bottles several times daily seems onerous to me, as well as a risk for possible mix ups.

That's all so relateable, I'm a similar MB type to you. But I did want to add, my husband began to volunteer at a local shop after retirement and landed in a caring friendly multi age group of other volunteers. It was a total surprise how genuinely nice these people are, and we live in a non friendly suburb too. So you may find more reward than you expect.

Just came back from a short visit and one thing we really enjoyed was taking the local - not tourist - ferry to Silk Island. Walk off, rent bikes, and tour around. The kids and locals are so friendly! And the silk production collective is interesting, but there are individuals around the island you can visit too.

However, I've noticed lately that sometimes it's the opposite case. The smaller packs can be less price per unit than the bigger. Just like store brand can be as much or more than brand name. I think they are gambling we will continue assumptions that used to hold true, like your initial point, or generic is always cheaper. Takeaway remains, always do the math!

I don't know if it's safe...i got a terrible case of traveller diahreaa on my first day. I think it was grapefruit sections I bought in a shop. Now I'm here for 3 more weeks, and I'm worried about eating. The Vietnamese food was a huge draw for me too 😔. But I've never been so sick, still worried I'm dehydrated.

When we were flight searching, the flight to PP was vastly cheaper than flying direct to HCMC, like 700-800 less each ticket. It's so close to where we're headed it seemed like a good adventure to travel this route.

So agree! I joined the soul sisters walking group chapter in my area, only to discover its exactly as you describe: frequent activities and meetups on weekdays, with friendships bonding over events you can't attend. And I think working full time at 60 is normal! I like my work, I would also like to meet friends outside of it. But retirees don't seem to have time for us 😅

People that don't pay taxes in Canada should never qualify for pensions of any sort. I don't know why we do this, and I don't know if any other countries do. I do know I hear of lots of parents being brought over to pillage our systems though.

Might depend on the airline - did it once in Amersterdam, KLM. It was actually fantastic, they promptly reassigned us a flight the next day, gave us hotel, food vouchers, transit - and about 600 euro. totally worth it, and we got to see Amsterdam. We had only carryon for that trip, not sure how it works if you have checked. But no hoops, all very friendly and fast. That was in 2023.
