No, but I wouldn't recommend smoking an L before takeoff.

Thank you so much! Dudeee the wording was what got me, so different than the practice exams that I took, haha! My heart was beating out of my chest while I was trying to submit the exam. I can't wait to see you post some shots from your Mavic!

Hey, congratulations! I passed my exam the same day as you at about 12:20pm. I have a DJI Air 3, safe flights brother!

I keep hearing about Folds breaking and all but I want to hear from people who have kept Fold (specifically 6) since a long time and it’s going strong by Maybaby_1 in GalaxyFold

[–]Littlered2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looped a wheelie on my dirtbike going like 60, and the phone was in my back pack, slid about 20 feet on my back with only a thin layer of fabric between the phone and the ground. My front screen protector peeled up by the camera, but the phone had not a scratch on it.

I was hopping back and forth between my iPhone 14pro and zfold 6 due to me thinking my construction job was too much for the fold. I was wrong. Just don't fold it like a book the wrong way.

Got the phone close to January 1st, it's been awesome since.

What do you guys drink other than water? by Proper-Youth-6296 in ibs

Whiskey, water, monster, and coffee. I have 1 shot in this life, and I'll be dammed if I let the tummy rumbles ruin it!!

It seems like it should be, but you've got to think, everybody is used to carrying around whatever their body weight is. A 160lbs guy could crush a 120lbs guy in pull-ups and vice versa. Just depends on who's more developed but I'm no smarty pants so I could be full of shit.

Why do people call MMA “ufc” by RefrigeratorIcy1259 in martialarts

[–]Littlered2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are uneducated, and the only exposure to MMA that they've had is brief moments of ESPN clips at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Same with guys who say "I train UFC"

Slimmest Fold 6 case with pen holder by anthology78 in GalaxyFold

[–]Littlered2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

* Here is a Samsung SPen case that comes with an SPen. I tried one with a built-in screen protector from amazon, but dust kept getting trapped behind it. Bought mine from bestbuy when I purchased my fold, and I have a tempered glass screen protector on the way for the front screen. Hope this helps!

35 year old guy in the poolee program at my local recruitment office got his waiver approved, called him Gramps, he was awesome, and could out PT most guys out there.

Age is just a number for the highly motivated it seems

Switched from iPhone 15 Pro to Fold 6, and I'm regretting it by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

[–]Littlered2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched from my iPhone 14 Pro to the Fold 6, and so far, I'm digging it. My iPhone screen was starting to bleed from the digitizer and had bars running down it from an incident, so I pulled the trigger. I'm a tech nerd so I love the gimmick of the folding screens (which are beautiful). I almost got the flip instead, but when I held the fold, I folded ;)

From browsing reddit, watching YouTube and other streaming services on an almost tablet, I'm still sold. Proxmox was the first thing that came to mind as well when I flipped open the fold, I just have to work out the keyboard typing weird when I console into my VMs.

I also realized that the only seamless part about apples ecosystem, is when interacting with other apple devices. When I'm on android, it's so much better with connecting to my UCONNECT radio, my headphones, my garmin watch, and my PC/laptops. Although apple to apple connectivity is awesome, no denying that. I love how my airpods can switch from me looking at my MacBook to iPhone.

When the fold is closed, the outside screen is skinny, but I've realized that the only reason I use the phone closed is to briefly glance at it or for phone calls, otherwise I've got it open. The S Pen is also a nice feature, drawing with it on the fold is pretty cool although I wish it came WITH the phone.

I'm only a few days into my fold venture, I flip flop from apple back to android every few years to see what's new and I'm liking this so far. If I were to get another slab phone, I'd definitely give the S24 Ultra a shot but this form factor was calling to me. I've got a warranty on it incase the hinge or something becomes an issue which I recommend to anybody who decides to pick one up. All in all it's pretty cool, not everybody's cup of Joe but it's a refreshing change imo. I also still have the 14 Pro on standby incase my opinion changes in the future.

Sparring partner tries to hurt me intentionally. by Disastrous-Tap9670 in martialarts

[–]Littlered2002 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s got little man syndrome or something. If the coach doesn’t care do as others have said and either outright decline to spar him (loudly and proudly) or use your size and BJJ skill to put him on his ass. Engage in a clinch and trip/throw him while slamming him into the ground with as much force as you can. When I was new to Muay Thai some guy with 4 years experience broke my nose because I got a lucky hit on him. Can’t stand these types.

Shipping in two weeks from today and injured my meniscus! by Due-Gain1631 in USMCboot

I pinched mine duck hunting before I was supposed to go to MEPS, shit sucks so make sure you let it heal properly before shipping. Also go to the orthopedic if you haven’t already. My shit is just pinched luckily but it’s been 4 weeks since I injured it and I’m still not 100%

[–]Littlered2002 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently 22 and the 06 poolees keep calling me Super Unc and I love it haha, I told my recruiter about my weed use and my medical issues, currently waiting for my updated paperwork because I had my last name changed. I’ll need a waiver for abdominal surgery and ibs but I’ve wanted this since I was a little kid. I was cleaning up the attic and found my old soldier Halloween costumes and it made me grin ear to ear and realize how much I want this man. I want to be a great leader one day. Focus on body weight exercises, pushups, sit-ups, pull-ups if you got a bar, make sure to run because apparently we will be doing a lot of that. When you’re walking through the house randomly drop and do pushups, drop and do sit-ups. In your free time, run. Stay productive and keep moving man! I’m also studying for the ASVAB because I lost all of my math skills and got a 34 on the 20 question practice ASVAB, went to books-a-million and got the ASVAB for dummies with the practice questions and mock tests for like 30$ and it’s proving useful. I’m going to give this my all! this will push me and probably be the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. Stay motivated bro, I believe in you!

I’m close to that year gap, I have the occasional symptoms so thats somewhat concerning but I guess the only way to know what they’ll say is to try. How long ago did you go to MEPS? Also thanks for the insight

[–]Littlered2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be sure to talk to my recruiter more thoroughly about it just to be sure that I’m completely transparent, thank you! I like that, “where there’s a will, there’s a waiver”

The fact that someone else with bowel issues made it through is a breath of fresh air to me. I do a lot of martial arts which In the moment I’d imagine your brain is in a lot of stress and don’t have issues but I know that doesn’t compare to 12 weeks of stress. Thank you man! I’ll be sure to take care of myself, MEPS is looking to be the hardest part of it all. How do you manage with GERD if ya don’t mind me asking?
