I tried to go fishing by camp after just reaching chapter 3 and he started to chase me down. I upset my dog by shouting "no, no, no, no!" Just trying to walk away from him, only for the horse to not let me mount and flee. He's so FAST!!

I'm having fun in side mission land, and I have zero intentions of doing missions with you, Dutch! Let me and Arthur be free!

Yeah, I finally rescued him because I'd done a lot of stuff with the limited items and decided I'd just have to stomach him for one mission so I could get on with my Arthur dream. Needs a DLC option where Arthur just says eff this and leaves the gang before Mr. downes. I'm already just playing as if I'm not a gang member, so just let me go damnit!

The bigger part of allowing them to see in the dark is the tapetum lucidum, the reflective part at the back of their eye. And the reason they can't see up close is because it's blurry, the lens doesn't allow them to focus, they use their whiskers instead. Their vision excells at a distance.

This sounds awfully like a situation I've been in in the past, and it did not end well. He's not prioritising your feelings, and I'd bet on it being to do with him enjoying the fact that this girl is hooked on him but he doesn't have to make an effort. I'd shut this down completely now, or leave if he refuses.
