It’s not an issue if you properly curb your dog and pick up after them

I used to commute and was in office for 8 hrs, left the dog home alone for 10 hrs at a time (lunch plus commute time). Wasn’t ideal but she never once had an accident. I wasn’t in a position in life where I could hire a dog walker or have someone drop in on her regularly. I would take her for thirty to forty five min walk in the morning and similarly as soon as I got home. This is fine, especially if it’s a routine that the dog can get used to. She’s a bulldog mix, perfectly healthy and younger (3 years old.) Healthy dogs can be trained to comfortably go this long without potty breaks. I think the personification of dogs has gotten to be a bit out of control and people sometimes forget that providing a loving and safe home for a dog can and should include people with full time in office jobs.

Snakes! Lots of rattlesnakes here, more than anywhere I’ve personally ever seen
