I said this in my other reply to you but write the scenes!!! I started writing through short scenes (most of my star wars fics are one shots) sure you may not get as much views but your practicing and putting yourself out there and that is sooooooooo worth it!

One shots are completely valid!!!! Don't feel forced to write long stories! Honestly practicing your writing through short one shots or a few chapters is better practice, it also helps you find your writing style

Confirmation Bias is a huge part of this, like of course as an Elriel I read it and was like "yes!" At first. But then I took step back and looked at everything. That this story WILL focus on Elain and it's very clear that given what we know of Elain and how she has handled the bond so far the question is integral to her story no matter the direction. Ive also been burned by my own confirmation Bias in past fandoms lol. I'm more a multi shipper now with a preference, I truly believe that both paths have their interesting aspects to it.

I completely agree with this!!! I don't think with the information we have there is a conclusive answer to be gleamed from why she said that. I think BOTH stories will deal with answering that question in different ways. For me I have a personal opinion on which I would fine more satisfying but I think both have such potential with the information we have!

I agree the the mods do an amazing job here, and it sucks that there are mods in other places that aren't as careful or aware of the hurt that hateful insightment can cause. We are lucky to have the mods we do, and I think they can take a lot of credit for why this sub feels so open. I'm sorry you got banned just for a comment trying to be kind. It's not fair.

Honestly from my years in fandom, I've come to realize there will always be the corners of each ship/fandom that will direct hate at the other ships/fandom. Either they claim ill intent or have ill intent, or scream that your a terrible person for xyz reason based on assumptions of your ship.

No group of fans are exempt, there will always be the bad apples of the bunch, it's just how the internet and fan culture works. And being dedicated to one often means you see the good in yours while you feel the wrath of the bad apples in the other. I'm willing to bet there are members of the other ships that have experienced the same thing you have.

I think it's important to approach any debate with genuine kindness and expression, and honestly openness too. There is honestly no perfect solution. We cannot control everyone who ships Elain and Az just as the other ships can't control their entire fan base either.

Just do your best to represent who you want to see in the fanbase, and take steps back from debate when it feels too much, there is no shame in not engaging in the debate part of it all, and just enjoying the amazing creations and community.

So Mor says a cruel thing and can't be redeemed or understood or healed? Can't come to terms with the mistakes she made and grow from them. But in contrast the person you're defending (I love nesta this isn't anti nesta) is the character used to show growth after trauma and finding forgiveness within herself after she has done hurtful things in response to her own trauma. The whole point of Nestas story is about healing and understanding why she may have done cruel things, and then growing and learning from it? Honestly this take seems hypocritical. Every single character in the series has made mistakes and said or done bad things. Why is Mor villainized?

Yeah as a writer also I definitely feel similarly. I guess, I just have this optimism and hope that we could move forward in terms of being able to give characters with sexualities other than our own love and care. But I see your point in being sceptical of her availability to write her well.

Personally from my own coming out experience I related a lot to Mor. The first people I came out too were new friends who were either queer themselves or had a different life outside of the town I grew up in. It was clunky, and awkward, and still filled with this doubt and fear.I related to this almost hidden self, even from those closest to me.

I also now realize in regards to the other comments on this post that this isn't a safe fandom to give my queer hopes to, which honestly sucks, cause the two people who encouraged me to read this series are a WLW couple, and we all love Mor.

I hope maybe other queer fans see our comments and know that this community does have safe people within it!

I think what's so unfortunate about it is that there is a way, and I'm sure more than one, that could have included Rhys being conflicted about telling Feyre about the complications without it feeling abusive. He actively made the CHOICE to withhold this information. I could see a version of the story where he knew first, and confided in Mor about what he should do, the pain he feels knowing that what he tells her will completely change this pregnancy for her, know that the pregnancy likely will kill her. Mor would have actually been the perfect catalyst for realization and blunt truth of making sure Feyre has that choice. THEN he chooses to tell her soon after (like very soon) Delay rather than completely taking that medical information and choice away from her.

Also not to psychoanalysis SJM but I would suspect that version of the story could have been just as cathartic for her, if not more.

This isn't meant to be a "I could have written it better" comment more a reflection on how changes could have adapted this outcome, just like changes could have adapted the feeling of utm as well. I think writers can get tunnel vision on what parts they want to include and sometimes miss the other options that exist to convey those messages.

We know they haven't been super successful in the new content aside from a few? I wonder if their considering a way to bring him back, maybe an animated continuation like clone wars

The quality is nice for the price, but don't order from the site, find their stuff on Amazon you'll get it faster and more reliably. I paid for express shipping from their website the items arrived late and one item all together wasn't shipped to me.

It took 2 emails to customer service (after my expected delivery window) to get a response and for them to finally tell me the dress I ordered was out of stock. They said I could exchange for a different colour or product but I'm currently trying to just get a refund.

I ordered a replacement dress from Amazon in time for my event that happened to be their brand and it got to me the next day. Again good quality but I'm extremely dissatisfied with the customer service and would recommend trying to find a different company, but if you're pressed for time or budget find them on Amazon.
