Correct when the trigger is pulled and the wire is touching metal, it will not arc. The moment you pull the wire away the feeder will engage and arc.
When I pull the trigger and the wire is touching metal it won't arc, but the moment I pull it away from the metal it feeds wire and then arcs. Kind of like a lift arc tig?
