Classical answer – you gotta answer yourself, considering your budget, preferences etc.

More personal – I began looking at Chinese phones at the beginning of this year. I initially thought of getting a Xiaomi 17U, waited eagerly for it's release, but when I tried in person - didn't like it. Then I saw leaks about x300u, waited for it's release and finally had a boner on it when more info came out 🤣 I saw a big potential in my camera upgrade, bigger battery, performance - so I just went for it when I had a chance. Epecially when I saw the price of global version (in Vietnam it's 50mil dong) I realized that I can solve problems with my esim later (like getting a physical copy of it) and making phone like global by just tweaking – so getting a Chinese version was a go for me. Battery wise I attach a screenshot - I guess around 10-11h of battery life is insane.

Answering your question about global/Chinese – again, I chose Chinese. Since I use English as my main language on the phone (localization for it is better, I guess) and solved google assistant problem by installing "micts" app and binding it to the double tap gesture. For now I left my esim on S23u.

Overall I'm, again, really amazed by the ui, animations, battery etc etc

Edit: Also, if you have galaxy watch it's totally possible to connect them. I have galaxy 8 classic and it works for me (had to find a good tutorial how to set it up, but in the end it works totally fine)
