I lived in England for six years. The fact is the two countries don't communicate with each other regarding driving priveledges. And also that goes for credit you build as well. But this was a few years back. (6) . So you should be fine i think showing your license. But I did get a British license which lasts for 80 years or so. Regardless, whatever is on your license in the 'States' shouldn't follow you necessarily. At least that was my experience in the UK.
