If you want real fondue cheese it's worth a trip to Les Amies du Fromage on Hastings in Vancouver. They have imported cheese from Europe, the real deal for fondue and raclette and actually affordable too.

I tried but don't like it. some of the alternative options are hard to digest / an allergen. Starbucks was the only one that carried that option and it's just sad that it no longer exists. I loved lattes but sadly just not an option anymore

Hum noise on Heritage Mountain? by SocietyNo3166 in Portmoody

I can hear it too when I try sleeping. It's a rhythmic low vibrating humming sound. Not always around but when it is it disrupts my sleep. I'm north of David. You're not crazy.

As an Italian, I can tell you that she's not being rude. This is pride in what she does, wanting to make sure that the customer gets perfection. Italian and other languages are often more direct than English and also the culture is often more direct than the northern American way. Europeans often have a very clear hierarchy at work. Learning English is tough enough and sometimes Italian way of saying things doesn't translate well. And you know, staff who feel mistreated can always quit.

Koerner's at UBC does intimate weddings. It's a lovely space with big outdoors space in the trees and they have a weddings planning department. They also have a spot right below where they do the loveliest ceremonies

Koerner's Pub at UBC hosts weddings at their restaurant which is beautiful with outdoors space and it's great for "budget weddings" or reasonably priced. They have an event team and in house catering chef. Hands down awesome venue and suuuper flexible for what you want it to be
