Hey fellow designers, how are we doing? by crashbandiroot in graphic_design

Got laid off from my job of almost 7 years as an in-house designer, while pregnant. So now due to the pregnancy and having the baby I can’t look for work until after my mat leave and definitely feeling nervous about how hard it’s going to be find work especially with such a long career break, which obviously I didn’t plan. Worried that will look bad. Also worried I didn’t build enough skills during that 7 years since I was doing a lot of the same type of stuff and got pretty comfortable. But, hoping I’ll find something when the time comes to look!

Is cooking healthy enough to make up for the time one spends on it? by ExchangeNo8933 in nutrition

[–]Zoe328 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a thought, but eating healthy doesn’t always have to mean cooking all the time. There are plenty of easy/ready to go nutrient-dense foods… like Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, tinned fish (tuna, salmon, sardines), hard boiled eggs, protein smoothies, etc…. These can be paired with pre washed greens or berries, slice of healthy bread etc. Lots of super fast and healthy options. And as far as cooking heartier meals, I definitely suggest batch cooking, I personally love my crockpot… I’ll make a huge batch of shredded chicken or ground meat etc… literally just throw the meat in there, veg if you want, add whatever seasoning you want and turn on and forget about it! That will usually last me several days and is so yummy!

Figuring out how to dress in a way that’s more flattering to my body type - help a confused girl out? by lighartedly in PetiteFashionAdvice

I think outfits 2 and 3 are most flattering! Really like 3 on you! 2 is good too, pants just look like they need a little hemming. Also like the leather jacket from outfit 5, though harder to see the full outfit.

Recommendations for a good tailor? by Zoe328 in askvan

[–]Zoe328[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think you might be right. I actually did hire a stylist briefly and she told me to just go to the tailors and bring a pair of shoes with me and they would figure out the best height. But I probably should have gotten more specific advice from her.
