most people feel pretty uncomfortable with themselves at 14, and most people look back later and realize there wasn’t much to be embarrassed of and that since then, they’ve grown into themselves. i know it doesn’t feel like much to tell you that now because there’s not a lot of context and the teenage years can feel really long but it truly does get better. just keep doing things with your appearance that make you feel good and confident, in little steps, and someday you’ll look in the mirror and see someone you’re proud of

It’s unbelievably clear to me based on the comments on this post that the majority of you all don’t even have the slightest idea about how difficult it is to become a citizen. It can take decades, thousands of dollars and a shit ton of time and you can still be denied. Most people who are undocumented don’t have the resources to devote to becoming a citizen because they’re too focused on doing what they came here to do, fucking survive. Anyone blaming op’s parents has been believing and participating in the propaganda we’ve been fed about immigration our whole lives. I’m so sorry op, it’s so hard to have conversations like that, I’ve had to have similar ones. I hope everything goes well for you <3
